Hello Hive. My YouTube schedule has restarted again! This also my 3rd time writing this because Ecency doesn’t like saving my drafts!😂
I’ve had a few things that I’ve wanted to talk about since my last post, but I’ve simply not had the time. But I’ve started uploading again this week and figured now is the perfect time to start posting again as well.
In a lot of my precious videos I was focused on finding a good build for the character I was playing as and trying to make sure that I ‘win’ in all of my videos, (winning is very subjective in Dead by Daylight 😂). Because of this, I’d sometimes be sat for up to an hour recording and wouldn’t always have anything to show for it. This was sometimes a little bit disheartening and it’d it show in my voice that I just wasn’t that into it.
Because of this, I’ve decided that going forwards I’m just gonna have fun in all my videos. Yes, there will be times when I wanna win and showcase my skills, (and make myself look amazing at the game😂), but I’m happy with the fact that that won’t always be possible.
Anyway, if you already tell from the screenshots in my latest video I’m playing as the Demogorgan, (Yes the one from Stranger Things). Demo is the strongest of killers in the game but he is soooo much fun to play. The first part of Demo’s power is the ability to place portals and traverse through them across the map. The default number of portals is 5, and can be placed almost anywhere. When a portal has set, it remains inactive and invisible to the survivors. Once Demo traverses to/from a portal it then becomes, (you guessed it), active. However active portals can be destroyed by survivors, so you have to be careful where you place them.
The second part of his power is called Of The Abyss. When you hold down the power button, if any survivor is standing near an active portal, their presence will be made known to you via the killer instinct effect, (a red circle and a heartbeat sound effect). The last weapon in Demo’s arsenal is the Shred. Whilst charging Of The Abyss, if you press the attack button Demo will lunge forward and attack a survivor, depriving them of a health state. It’s very useful for getting last second hits on survivors who would have otherwise vaulted a window or pulled a pallet down. Having said that, it can be very easy to miss with the Shred as the survivors can also dodge it they’re experienced enough. So use it carefully.
The perks that I used in this video, are quite useful for most killers, but I particularly enjoy using them with Demo. The first perk that I use is Enduring. Really simply, it cuts the stun duration in half when I get hit by a pallet. My second perk is BBQ & Chilli. Every time I hook a survivor, I’ll be able to see the auras of the other survivors who are around 40 metered away. I’ll be honest, half the time I don’t actually see anyone, but I like this perk because of its secondary ability of giving me up to 100% more bloodpoints,(the currency used for levelling up your characters), at the end of the game.
My third perk is Jolt. Whenever a survivor is put into the dying state, all generators within 16 meters blow up and loose some of their progress. They then start regressing progress as if I had kicked them, (you can kick the generators to start undoing the progress survivors have made in repairing them). My last perk synergies really well with Jolt; its called Pop Goes The Weasel….yup 😂. After hooking a survivor Pop becomes active. Whilst active it allows you to kick a generator and remove extra an percentage of progress than you would normally be able to.

I had a lot of fun recording this video, which is probably because I was just enjoying the game in general to be honest. If you are interested in watching my YouTube name is: AaronPlaysYT96. I’ll post a link to my channel and the video below as well.

This game sounds way more complicated than it looks hahah
The base mechanics are the same for all the characters are the same. It’s just a case of learning how to play each character, how their power works etc. Playing survivor is easy, because the controls are the same for all of them 😂
