Do you remember the PopCap games?

There was a time, maybe about 10 years ago or a little more, when many of my acquaintances had installed on their computers some game from the distributor PopCap Games, I think at that time they were totally different from what they are now because, visiting their website, I could notice that they gave continuity to a few games, perhaps those that were more successful. And well, the change or reduction in the development of games is quite noticeable since, according to the ones I have installed in my computer which are about 60, now they only offer 12, so if you want to enjoy the previous games then you will have to look in forgotten places of the web.

In the following image you will see the large number of games that this company developed at the time, some are more updated versions of the same game, but each one had its distinction. On the other hand, in the image I took from the official website you will see the games that survived.

I am going to be honest with you, many of these games that I have installed I have not even played them, they are a great amount and I must say that most of them are not even a little bit interesting, of course, I say that from my point of view, maybe other people around the world like these games. The vast majority of these games are strategy, puzzle and shooting games, these are simple in gameplay, but they can get quite complicated with difficulty upgrades.

My favorite games of this distributor are perhaps the favorites of the vast majority, the puzzle game Zuma (and its various versions) which is set according to the Inca culture was addictive for me at the time, I spent hours trying to advance the different levels which became increasingly complex and in that sense required more concentration and speed mint. Something similar happened to me with Bejeweled and Plants vs. Zombies, with these I spent hours in front of the computer, but it was always worth it, I had a lot of fun with these games back then.

The three images above are screenshots from my computer and are precisely the games that I like the most of the franchise, although there are others that I will review in due course in this community.

PopCap games are not usually very advanced in terms of graphics, but from my point of view they are perfect as they are, I don't think the distributor was looking to invest absurd amounts just to offer a puzzle game, for example. These games are made for a particular audience and in that sense I think they had a good impact, although right now I don't know if they are still high demand games.

Maybe there are some hidden gems among these games that you can show me, as I said, I haven't played them all yet and it's possible that I'm missing some good proposals, so I would be very grateful if you could recommend me some of them.

I have never played these games so I can't say anything about them. Are these games available on mobile phones?

Yes, these games are available for mobile.

Thank you 😊

I spent an unreasonable amount of time playing Zuma and Zuma's Revenge. Still have fond memories of them to this day.

Me too, those are very fun and addictive games, these are still installed on my PC.
