Este año volví a tocar uno de los mejores videojuegos de PC y de la saga pokemon que he jugado en mi vida, Pokémon reloaded y que sucedió, resulta que hace dos meses salió la versión 1.8.5 y decidí descargarla, pensé que sería el mismo juego, y lo es, pero han añadido muchas cosas y han cambiado algunas otras, así que en esta oportunidad pido el permiso para hablar otra vez de Pokémon reloaded, para documentar que cosas nuevas vi y que otras cosas han cambiado para bien o para mal en mi inició de una nueva partida.
Para mí Pokémon Reloaded es el mejor videojuego de Pokémon que he jugado, por muchas razones, tiene más historia, tiene más interacción con el universo Pokémon que otros juegos, no hay limites de pokemones, es decir, que podemos tener a todos los pokemones en nuestro equipo, eso sí, cumpliendo ciertas circunstancias, e incluso la pokedex de este juego tiene un logro que implica capturar a todos los pokemones del juego, algo que parece imposible pero realmente, si te lo propones no lo es.
Ahora bien, lo que están viendo es la nueva versión de PR la 1.8.5, este juego es desarrollado por unos programadores fanáticos serie y la realidad es que se nota nada más cuando inicias la partida, pues bien, que hay de nuevo con esta versión respecto a la versión anterior que jugué hace 5 años y volví a jugar este año por una brevedad de días, pues en primer lugar cambio la interfaz de los menús de acción, es decir, ya no tenemos esa típica pantalla azul que parece del power Shell de Windows, esa pantalla nos servía para realizar acciones y comandos dentro del juego, ahora contamos con una interfaz grafica mucho mejor lograda, digna de los juegos de Pokémon recientes, el color de la interfaz puedes cambiarla a tu gusto en el menú de opciones, en mi caso la puse gris casi llegando a negro.
Dicha interfaz cuenta con un teclado o si juegas con mando un teclado para seleccionar las letras como en los juegos de Game-boy. Posteriormente, después de ver la interfaz toca crearnos una nueva partida, yo por su puesto lo hice, tenemos a los entrenadores típicos de 4 generaciones de Pokémon, no obstante, podemos usar un comando que se llama Ctrl + P, el cual nos va a desbloquear a todos los personajes del juego, cosa que yo hice y si quieres jugar al Pokémon reloaded te recomiendo que lo hagas, bueno elegí a mi personaje que ven en pantalla (también podemos elegir a nuestro rival) y comencé mi nueva partida en esta nueva versión.
Luego les aparecerá una encuesta, esta encuesta es importante porque va a definir un poco tu camino a lo largo del juego, por ejemplo, los pokemones raros que aparezcan por ahí, en mi caso elegí en la primera pregunta la primera opción y en otra pregunta elegí la segunda opción, con esto durante la partida me apareció un charmander salvaje y un chicorita salvaje, depende de cada quién.
Como juego en sí es el mismo, pero Gráficamente ha mejorado por completo, los polígonos y pixeles han subido la calidad de forma considerable, aparte también los escenarios. Como sabemos en todos los juegos de Pokémon comenzamos en nuestra habitación, hablamos con nuestra madre y nos dirigimos al laboratorio del profesor Oak, pero aquí cambiaron algo, es que cuando inicia la historia (spoiler) vemos una reunión de todos los villanos del juego planeando un plan para destruir el mundo o algo así jaja, en algún momento de la historia tendremos que enfrentar a cada uno de ellos, esto es un detalle que me gustó muchísimo ya que nos da una intro suculenta de lo que se viene, me volví a enganchar con la historia y por lo visto el juego ahora es mas largo que antes, pero vamos paso a paso.
Cuando salí de la casa, me di cuenta que los edificios y el pasto habían cambiado han subido de calidad, las casas ahora si parecen casas y no las típicas de los juegos de Pokémon jaja, a su vez parece que hay un efecto de viendo tocando las plantas.
Vamos al laboratorio, conocemos a nuestro rival de turno y elegimos nuestro Pokémon inicial que son los mismos: Pikachu, Riolu e Eevee. Siendo fiel a mi mismo elegí a Eevee que es el que más me gusta. Ya dentro del juego lo primero que hice fue subir a mi Eevee de nivel y empezar a capturar a los pokemones que me pueden llegar a servir, nada del otro mundo, me conseguí al charmander casi entrando al bosque de los bichos, lo capture sin problemas y también empecé a entrenarlo, el bosque lo transformaron en un laberinto y añadieron un nuevo obstáculo la telaraña, esta telaraña supongo yo que se cortará con el movimiento de “corte”, y luego de salir del bosque llegue a la primera ciudad donde está el GYM de Tierra-Roca.
Históricamente este primer gym es uno de los más complicados para mí, no sólo en este juego si no en general, no sí si a ustedes también les pasa eso jaja, pero en esta nueva versión de Pokémon reloaded la dinámica de los gym también fue cambiada, para ser más difícil todavía, no me refiero que sea difícil, digo más que el líder tiene mucho más privilegios que el jugador en sí, la IA de los lideres de gym están a la altura de un jugador semi-profecional de videojuegos de Pokémon y como lo sé, pues que sufrí bastante para vencer al primer líder de gym que se llama Mino.
Me costó muchos intentos, en parte porque yo no quise capturar un Pokémon tipo planta y tipo agua, porque ninguno me gustaba en esa etapa del juego, ¿pude haber hecho que el juego me otorgara un inicial de agua o planta? Sí, pero yo quería tener a mi charmander desde el principio de la aventura jaja, me costó al punto de entrenar a un Ekans para poder en envenenar a los pokemones rivales, y me fue bien hasta cierto punto, ya que el último Pokémon que tiene el líder de gym Tierra-Roca es un Lycanroc, dicho Pokémon es un lobo que tiene demasiada velocidad, a tal punto que no veía sus ataques y por si fuera poco tenía muchísimo ataque y mi equipo no se caracterizaba por soportar muchos ataques de tipo roca.
Lo peor de perder una batalla en este juego, es que te quitan la mitad de todo tu dinero, si tenías 100$ te dejan en 50$ y así sucesivamente, yo recomiendo que cuando vayas a enfrentarte a una batalla de gran dificultad lo primero es que guardes la partida, para así en caso de perder no cargas la partida guardada y no pierdes tu dinero. Después de 10 intentos tuve que entrenar a un Pokémon tipo planta llamado Cherubi y realmente me sirvió, sólo necesité de tres intentos más para vencer a este líder de gym y poder avanzar de una vez por todas, en el video que dejo abajo, está la batalla donde gano la primera medalla.

For me, Pokémon Reloaded is the best Pokémon video game I've ever played, for many reasons. It has more story, more interaction with the Pokémon universe than other games, and there are no limits on Pokémon, meaning we can have all the Pokémon on our team, under certain circumstances, of course, and even the Pokédex in this game has an achievement that involves capturing all the Pokémon in the game, something that seems impossible but really isn't if you set your mind to it.
Now, what you are seeing is the new version of PR, 1.8.5. This game is developed by a group of fanatic programmers, and you notice it as soon as you start. So, what's new in this version compared to the one I played five years ago and played again this year for a few days? First, the action menu interface has changed. We no longer have that typical blue screen that looks like Windows PowerShell. That screen was used to perform actions and commands within the game. Now we have a much better graphic interface, worthy of recent Pokémon games. You can change the interface color to your liking in the options menu. In my case, I set it to a grayish-black.
This interface has a keyboard, or if you play with a controller, a keyboard to select letters, like in Game Boy games. After seeing the interface, it's time to create a new game, which I did, of course. We have the typical trainers from four generations of Pokémon, but we can use a command called Ctrl + P, which will unlock all the characters in the game. I did this, and if you want to play Pokémon Reloaded, I recommend you do the same. I chose my character, which you can see on the screen (we can also choose our rival), and started my new game in this new version.
Then a survey will appear. This survey is important because it will define your path throughout the game a little bit. For example, the rare Pokémon that appear here and there. In my case, I chose the first option in the first question and the second option in another question. With this, during the game, a wild Charmander and a wild Chikorita appeared. The game itself is the same, but the graphics have been completely improved. The polygons and pixels have increased in quality considerably, as have the settings. As we know, in all Pokémon games, we start in our room, talk to our mother, and head to Professor Oak's laboratory, but here they changed something. When the story begins (spoiler alert), we see a meeting of all the villains in the game planning a plan to destroy the world or something like that, haha. At some point in the story, we'll have to face each of them. I really liked this detail because it gives us a succulent introduction to what's to come. I got hooked on the story again, and apparently, the game is now longer than before, but let's take it step by step.
When I left the house, I noticed that the buildings and grass had changed for the better. The houses now look like real houses and not the typical ones from Pokémon games, haha. It also seems like there's an effect when you touch the plants.
We go to the lab, meet our rival, and choose our starter Pokémon, which are the same: Pikachu, Riolu, and Eevee. Being true to myself, I chose Eevee, which is my favorite. Once in the game, the first thing I did was level up my Eevee and start capturing Pokémon that could be useful to me. Nothing out of the ordinary. I found Charmander almost as soon as I entered the bug forest, captured it without any problems, and started training it. The forest has been transformed into a maze, and a new obstacle has been added: cobwebs. I guess this web will be cut with the “cut” move, and after leaving the forest, I arrived at the first city where the Earth-Rock GYM is located.
Historically, this first gym is one of the most complicated for me, not only in this game but in general. I don't know if that happens to you, too, haha. But in this new version of Pokémon Reloaded, the gym dynamics have also been changed to make it even more difficult. I don't mean that it's difficult; I mean that the leader has many more privileges than the player. The AI of the gym leaders is on par with a semi-professional Pokémon video game player, and I know this because I struggled a lot to defeat the first gym leader, Mino.
It took me many attempts, partly because I didn't want to capture a plant-type or water-type Pokémon, because I didn't like any of them at that stage of the game. Could I have made the game give me a water or plant starter? Yes, but I wanted to have my Charmander from the beginning of the adventure, haha. It cost me to the point of training an Ekans to be able to poison rival Pokémon, and it worked well to a certain extent, since the last Pokémon that the Rock-type gym leader has is a Lycanroc, which is a wolf that is so fast that I couldn't see its attacks, and to make matters worse, it had a lot of attack power and my team wasn't known for withstanding many rock-type attacks.
The worst thing about losing a battle in this game is that they take half of all your money. If you had $100, they would leave you with $50, and so on. I recommend that when you're going to face a difficult battle, the first thing you do is save the game, so that if you lose, you don't load the saved game and lose your money. After 10 attempts, I had to train a plant-type Pokémon called Cherubi, and it really helped me. I only needed three more attempts to defeat this gym leader and move on once and for all.
