Armored Core 6: Sea Spider Boss Fight (FULL) - Key moments to attack and dodge

When Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon came out almost if not all was devasted. The tutorial boss alone is more than enough to send most packing not to mention 'Balteus'. This is mostly because of FromSoftware's Souls game fault, in which everyone is mostly used to by now. But like me whom knew AC series since the PS1 days and plays Souls... this is kinda feels like what it should feel like.

An Armored Core game with Dark Souls like boss... with no i-frame as far as I know.

Anyway, some tips to make playing AC6 less 'frustrating'.

  1. Putting together the most expensive parts in the market usually does not make things work in a players favor. In my opinion it is more like building your own 'gaming PC' where you think what GPU would maximize your chosen CPU's potential, then looking for the best motherboard to slap those parts in... what power supply to use, what case, how much RAM, etc. ofcourse you can later upgrade it when you get better parts later in the game. This makes mech building enjoyable.

  2. Gaming playstyle: As far as I can tell you can finish the game on any playstyle of the players choosing. As for me a choose a lightweight build and focus more on thrusters and generators... cause you know, being a GUNDAM pilot is one of my dreams in life. HAHAHA

  3. Pay attention to VISUAL and AUDITORY cues (and know what that means) from the bosses, all of them gives one - some just more subtle the others. This would help you dodge it ahead of time.

  4. It is highly unlikely you can dodge everything, just determine which attacks you can 'tank' and which you need to dodge like your life depends on it.

  5. Save enough 'ENERGY' during engages with the boss, for last minute dodges. Going 'all-in' usually does not go well as most boss counter attacks, especially if you miss.

  6. If in doubt or for some reason the boss's move set is 'uncertain' step back, put some distance, and re-asses the situation before going back in.

  7. STAY CALM

And lastly, Enjoy the game!

Thank you for watching and reading.

PS,

For those that know me writing short stories for the inkwell, I am really sorry for the long hiatus. Even though I have a lot of ideas and manuscripts lined up in my laptop... I just do not have time, especially this past few months where family demands most of my time. Writing takes a lot of time and attention... for me atleast.

Writing gaming stuff for now is well... easier.
