Looks like the 2nd week of the Season 4 Episode 2: The Contractor is underway with fresh daily and weekly challenges but also with a brand new Live Summit entitled Year of the Tiger.
I don't know how many of you are into this Chinese vibe and astrology as I never kept in mind what my zodiac sign is in other cultures, but the 9 races waiting for you to complete them is definitely a good excuse to activate the competitive driving skill and score new records! 💨
So, let's dive into this week Live Summit - Year of the Tiger that will run between 26 Jan - 2 Feb and see what's new:
- Slalom - being required to do slaloms between various objects floating on the water and collect at least 4,150 points. [No Restriction Race]
- Speedtrap - where you are requested to cross a marked area on the map with a speed faster than 200 km/h. [No Restriction Race]
- Aerobatics - where you are needed to match some shapes in the air doing acrobatics and collect at least 4,280 points to qualify further. [No Restriction Race]
- Rally Cross - a quite muddy race held on an off-road trail where you have to get on one of the Top 3 positions to win this. [No Restriction Race]
- Street - a thematic race held on the streets with Chinese decorations where you also have to make your way to the Top 3 to have the race marked as completed. [No Restriction Race]
- Hyper - another race on the streets but with a more powerful car and adrenaline. This time you have to cross the finish line on the 1st place. [Forced Vehicle]
- Street - one more common race on the US' streets but where is fine to place yourself on one of the Top 3 positions to win this. [Murcielago LP640 required]
- Powerboat - it's time to step away for a moment from the usual races and drive a boat against 7 more players, ending this on one of the Top 3 places. [SV12 required]
- Hyper - finishing the event with another race full of adrenaline where you are required to get amongst the Top 3 players to win the race. [Alfieri Concept required]
If things are not clear enough, strength, exorcising evils and braveness is what characterizes 2022 but also a tiger which is well-known as the king of all beasts in China, hence why the connection between the animal and our new Live Summit. 🐅
And if you thought that it's just another name for the Live Summit, find out that specific decorations will bring a different touch to the 5th race which normally it would be a quite basic drive on the streets without those red lamps and Chinese details.
Anyway, while in my previous post I said that I noticed some changes on the way you are scored, it looks like this will make me reach that 100,000 points goal a lot harder from now on, having just 3/9 races exceeding that personal limit.
When I first opened the game I noticed I had 3 vehicles missing on this weekly event so my budget allowed me to purchase just two of them, but there is also a race where you are driving a forced vehicle which basically means you don't have to own or buy it but you will be limited on how this comes upgraded in the game which is often on a medium level. This also came with Chinese details, how nice is that? 🏮
Though, as a new episode was recently released, it would be weird not to also flex a bit with the level I already reached in just one week of playing.
At the moment I'm writing this I have lvl 14 but I'll play the game more today to also get some more bucks to purchase the 3rd car required for the Year of the Tiger Live Summit. So hang in there and take advantage of the weekly tasks where each of them is taking you 2 levels further in The Contractor season. 😜

The year of the tiger, first time I see that a game has the chinese lhoroscope animals to determine races. I had played a similar game but motocross racing game that was also determined in this way, but I do not remember the name, it was a very bad version and low budget.
As much as I loved racing games, I've never gotten used to playing motocross or bike races even though I have a special weakness for these vehicles in real life. But yeah, it was also the first time for me to see this in the game :)

Well, I can tell you that the handling of these vehicles in video games is much more difficult, and if the game allows it, if you don't know how to maneuver you will fall down.
I do dread it in real life, either because I might fall or because someone might shoot me to steal it, but I would like to learn how to drive a motorcycle.
Yeah, well, i do drive those also in The Crew as there are more disciplines in the game but I couldn't get used with playing other games involving them.
But I know that The Crew 2 don't have the most accurate driving skill and it was quite blamed for that.
I never thought that far but now if you mention it, it sure is another risk that everyone should be aware of. So many crazy people out there!!! 😢
