Simulation transports us to another level of fun
Each genre of video games is a different world, it depends too much on our tastes to enjoy or not a specific genre, personally, I love games of almost all kinds, really the ones I do not like much are the shooters, however, I have played quite a few titles and I could enjoy them too much, but there is a genre that I am passionate about and I think it deserves a post from me, speaking from my most humble point of view, this is the simulation genre.
If we talk about video games that simulate something specific we can find a huge variety, I would say that every video game has a touch of simulation although the genre is different since we always simulate being a superhero, a villain, a vehicle driver, etc. If I tell you all I think I'll never finish xD, anyway, the importance of simulation in video games for me is too important, as it helps us to escape a little from our environment and makes us relax in any way.
With a little search in Google, we can notice that there is a very large variety of video games and almost all kinds.
Why does it transport us to another level of fun?
This question I can answer very easy, and the best thing is that I will do it from my experience with this kind of video games, many times I have been bored at home and I would love to drive a vehicle, I am talking about doing it in real life, obviously, it is impossible, since I don't have money to buy one, so... What do I do? Simple, I download a driving simulator, such as City Car Driving or Euro Truck Simulator, or even a Forza Horizon title. I remember perfectly when I downloaded City Car Driving, it is a simple game that teaches you how to drive and it is quite realistic, I could spend hours and hours driving around the city and trying the different speeds that the vehicles had, I really felt in another world when I was driving, I really got into the role of a driver. I loved it.
The same thing happened with many games, one of them is Minecraft, this game is the one that I have played the most in my life, apart from that the great freedom that Minecraft gives you is absolutely brutal, I remember that I spent hours and hours pretending to be an explorer, a survivor, installing mods, I remember that my imagination flew and I just let myself go and relieved any problem that was happening, many times in my personal life I had problems and I remember that Minecraft helped me to relax and relieve my stress for the situations in which I lived, that's what I call a simulation game at another level. That's why for me it is so important in my life.
One of the greatest exponents of simulation is obviously the saga of The Sims, these video games allow you to simulate and live the life of your dreams, and I tell you it truly is very realistic in every aspect, I never played any of their games for more than two hours, the last one I played was The Sims 4 and I got bored after two hours, I didn't know anything and I didn't know what to do, but who I can tell you about is my ex-partner, she spent hours and hours building her house, working, being famous, being a doctor, being a YouTuber, being whatever, this game gives you infinite possibilities and makes you escape again from this hard reality for some.
And one of the video games that I find incredible is Microsoft Flight Simulator, that a game that allows you to fly around the world and feel like the best airplane pilot, learn how they work and how it feels to be a pilot is something unique. That is what I mean by simulation video games are magical in every way, they allow you to be something that may be in your real life you can not get it, or also try new experiences with video games that you had not tried before.
I am a soccer lover, and thanks to FIFA and PES I could feel the best experiences playing this beautiful sport, the same goes for all sports lovers, be it basketball with NBA or Baseball with MLB, anyway, I have not been the only one who creates a custom player in PES and gets so deep into the role that he even believes he is a real footballer, I think this has been done by absolutely everyone and this is where the magic of simulation lies, it is perfect.
Or even better, for me, the top of simulation without any doubt is the GTA, the last one I played was GTA IV and I enjoyed it like never before, Rockstar is characterized by making us enjoy being a gangster or a hitman, many times I was dedicated to being a cab driver or a cop in GTA, I forgot the missions and the main story of the game and used GTA in a different way, I have also started to drive around the map and create a story in my own head, I can last hours doing that and I know I'm not the only one who does that, that's what these video games are created for, to imagine things like that.
What do I mean?
To not make this post so long, I want to make clear that the simulation in video games is something that we always have present and sometimes we never realize, I'm sure that reading this post more than one felt identified with a video game they have played, and I really find something beautiful this kind of thing, that the simulation has great importance in our lives how gamers is just very nice, and we must learn to enjoy what simulation video games offer us, make us feel what we want to be.
A level beyond the simulation is the virtual reality or VR, how for example the Oculus Rift, a few weeks ago I remember reading the postArizona Sunshine video game and virtual reality, I found it super awesome to see the way he enjoyed it and how he got into the role even knowing that what he is experiencing doesn't exist, The same thing happens with the Roleplay of GTA V, I love that people are other people and that they enjoy it, they practically live in a fantasy, but that's what it's all about, enjoying the video game to the fullest. by @pusen about the

La simulación nos transporta a otro nivel de diversión
Cada género de los videojuegos es un mundo distinto, depende demasiado de nuestros gustos para disfrutar o no un género en específico, personalmente adoro los juegos de casi todo tipo, realmente los que no me gusta mucho son los shooters, sin embargo he jugado bastantes títulos y los he podido disfrutar demasiado, pero existe un género que me apasiona y creo que merece un post de mi parte, hablando desde mi más humilde punto de vista, este es el género de simulación.
Si hablamos de videojuegos que nos simulen algo en específico podemos encontrar una variedad inmensa, diría que cada videojuego tiene un toque de simulación aunque el género sea distinto, ya que siempre simulamos ser un superhéroe, un villano, un conductor de vehículos, etc. Si les digo todos creo que nunca voy a terminar xD, en fin, la importancia de la simulación en los videojuegos para mí es demasiado importante, ya que nos ayuda a escapar un poco de nuestro ambiente y nos hace relajarnos de cualquier forma.
Con hacer una pequeña búsqueda en Google, podemos notar que existe una variedad muy grande de videojuegos, y prácticamente de casi todo tipo.
¿Por qué nos transporta a otro nivel de diversión?
Esta pregunta puedo responderla muy fácil, y lo mejor es que lo haré desde mi experiencia con este tipo de videojuegos, muchas veces he estado aburrido en mi casa y me encantaría conducir un vehículo, hablo de hacerlo en la vida real, obviamente es imposible, ya que no tengo dinero para comprar uno, entonces... ¿Qué hago? Sencillo, descargo un simulador de conducción, cómo por ejemplo City Car Driving o Euro Truck Simulator, o incluso algún título de Forza Horizon. Recuerdo perfectamente cuándo descargué City Car Driving, es un simple juego que te enseña a conducir y es bastante realista, podía pasar horas y horas manejando por toda la ciudad y probando las distintas velocidades que los vehículos tenían, de verdad que cuándo conducía me sentía en otro mundo, realmente me metía en el papel de un conductor. Lo amé.
Lo mismo pasaba con muchos juegos, uno de ellos es Minecraft, este juego es el que más yo he jugado en mi vida, aparte de ello la gran libertad que Minecraft te da es absolutamente brutal, recuerdo que yo me la pasaba horas y horas simulando sé un explorador, un superviviente, instalando mods, de verdad que mi imaginación volaba y simplemente me dejaba llevar y aliviaba cualquier problema que estuviera pasando, muchas veces en mi vida personal tenía problemas y recuerdo que Minecraft me ayudó bastante a relajarme y aliviar mi estrés por las situaciones en que vivía, a eso le llamo un juego de simulación a otro nivel. Por eso para mí es tan importante en mi vida.
Uno de los mayores exponentes de simulación es obvio que la saga de Los Sims, estos videojuegos te permiten simular y vivir la vida de tus sueños, y les digo que verdaderamente es muy realista en todo los aspectos, nunca jugué ninguno de sus juegos por más de dos horas, el último que jugué fue Los Sims 4 y me aburrí a las dos horas, no sabía nada y no sabía que hacer, pero de quién si puedo hablarles es de mí expareja, ella pasaba horas y horas construyendo su casa, trabajando, siendo famosa, siendo médico, siendo youtuber, siendo lo que sea, este juego te da infinitas posibilidades y te hace escaparte otra vez de esta dura realidad para algunos.
Y uno de los videojuegos que a mí me parece increíble es el Microsoft Flight Simulator, que un juego te permita volar al rededor de todo el mundo y sentirte el mejor piloto de aviones, aprender cómo funcionan y qué se siente ser un piloto es algo único. Es a lo que me refiero con que los videojuegos de simulación son mágicos en todos los sentidos, te permiten ser algo que tal vez en tu vida real no puedas conseguirlo, o también probar nuevas experiencias con los videojuegos que antes no habías probado.
Yo soy un amante del fútbol, y gracias a FIFA y PES pude sentir las mejores experiencias jugando a este deporte tan hermoso, lo mismo ocurre con todos los amantes del deporte, ya sea el baloncesto con la NBA o el Béisbol con la MLB, en fin, yo no he sido el único que se crea un jugador personalizado en el PES y se adentra tanto en el papel que incluso se cree un futbolista de verdad, creo que esto lo ha hecho absolutamente todo el mundo y aquí es dónde radica la magia de la simulación, es perfecta.
O aún mejor, para mí el top de simulación sin duda alguna son los GTA, el último que jugué fue el GTA IV y lo disfruté cómo nunca, Rockstar se caracteriza por hacernos disfrutar ser un gángster o un asesino a sueldo, muchas veces me dedicaba a ser un taxista o un policía en GTA, olvidaba las misiones y la historia principal del juego y utilizaba a GTA de una forma distinta, también me he puesto a manejar por todo el mapa y creo una historia en mi propia cabeza, puedo durar horas haciendo eso y sé que no soy el único que hace eso, para eso fue que están creados estos videojuegos, para imaginar cosas así.
¿A qué me refiero?
Para no hacer este post tan largo, quiero dejar claro que la simulación en los videojuegos es algo que siempre tenemos presente y en algunas ocasiones nunca nos damos cuenta, estoy seguro de que al leer este post más de uno se sintió identificado con algún videojuego que hayan jugado, y de verdad me parece algo hermoso este tipo de cosas, que la simulación tenga una gran importancia en nuestras vidas cómo gamers es simplemente muy bonito, y debemos aprender a disfrutar lo que los videojuegos de simulación nos ofrecen, nos hacen sentir lo que queramos ser.
Un nivel más allá de la simulación se encuentra la realidad virtual o VR, cómo por ejemplo el Oculus Rift, hace unas semanas recuerdo haber leído el postArizona Sunshine y la realidad virtual, me pareció superincreíble ver la forma en que lo disfrutó y cómo se adentraba en el papel aún sabiendo que lo que está viviendo no existe, lo mismo ocurre con los Roleplay de GTA V, me encanta que la gente sea otras personas y que lo disfruten, prácticamente viven en una fantasía, pero de eso se trata, disfrutar el videojuego al máximo. de @pusen sobre el videojuego

Yo he tenido la oportunidad de jugar varios juegos de simulación y puedo decir que son demasiado geniales e increíbles. He jugado de todo tipo, pero los de aviones son mis favoritos. Recuerdo que con los sims me descargué un pack gigante, no entendía el por qué pesaba tanto el archivo, supuse que eran las expansiones, pero luego lo entendí. Básicamente los sims esta vez tenían muchas más interacciones, incluso podían tener relaciones sexuales, es una locura. En experiencia, los juegos de simulación de vuelo son lo mejorcito que hay. Estoy seguro que cuando tenga unos 50-60 años si es que llego a esa edad, me la pasaré volando virtualmente hahaha.
jajajajajajajajaja, totalmente, es que dios ver todo ese hermoso paisaje y volar desde la comodidad de tu casa es demasiado hermoso, la simulación para mí está en mi top 3 de mejores géneros, y verga los Sims tienen muchas expansiones y Mods para ponerlos aún más realistas, es un gran juego, gracias por el comentario Perce!
Vaya que si, disfruté demasiado los sims 4 y me gustó mucho toda su saga, ya que la jugué desde el 1 hasta el 4, la simulacion en los videojuegos es muy importante y como tu dices esta en todas partes!
Si, la simulacion pertenece a una gran parte de la diversion ofrecida en cada videojuego, por eso pienso que todos deberiamos notarla un poco más y disfrutarla al máximo! gracias por comentar Pao!
Bueno la simulación nos sirve para matar aquel antojo de hacer cualquier cosa que no podemos por equis problema, uno de ellos puede ser el dinero como dices pana Gabo que por ejemplo querías conducir un auto en la vida real y por problemas de dinero no podías, entonces para esto está la simulación, que nos ayuda a matar esos antojos, (Aunque los mata de momento) porque después nos da ganas de volver a manejar un auto o de hacer equis cosa.
Cuando hablaste del Minecraft y se que no tiene nada que ver lo que diré con el tema de la simulación y todo esto, pero tengo un amigo, bueno un vecino que una vez se puso a jugar Minecraft en la vida real loco, o sea, es increíble y gracioso ver como agarro un hacha y se puso a estar talando un árbol, Ay nono, de verdad que es demasiado loco eso, no se si tenia un ataque de locura en ese momento o que verga, pero coño, que loco.

Simulation games are cool but I never play them for long. They're cool to try out for a while but a to realistic simulation game is just to boring imo. Things are slow and tedious often. But, if you have a dream of becoming a pilot or have an interest for trucks I can see the appeal for sure.

Que buen post bro, me parece interesante que abordaras la simulación desde tantos ángulos, considerando, aparte, que en esencia todos los juegos técnicamente son simuladores.
Aunque tengo infinito aprecio por títulos como Grand Theft Auto creo que mis simuladores favoritos son Gran Turismo y los Sims, aunque son muy distintos entre sí ambos logran tenerme inmerso en sus reglas y mundos, eso es algo invaluable.
