¿Que pienso de los videojuegos? // What do I think about video games?

Desde mi perspectiva, los videojuegos han jugado un papel muy importante en la vida de muchas personas; ya que más que solo un juego es una especie de portal para escapar del mundo que nos rodea. Los videojugos han servido para ya sea desestresar, socilaizar o simplemente pasar un buen rato.
Muchas personas hoy en día piensan que la juvuntud está generando vicios hacia esta clase de "divesión", claro que todo en exceso es malo y perjudicial para la salud, sin embargo; algunos estudios han demostrado que "hay una creciente evidencia de que las intervenciones basadas en los juegos de computadora y videojuegos ayudan a la gente a lidiar con problemas muy específicos como la ansiedad social" según Mark Baldwin (psicologo de la universidad de McGill en Canadá); además en un estudio publicado en Journal of Neuroscience, aseguraron que jugar los juegos en 3D pueden mejorar la concentración y la memoria mediante los estímulos cerebrales que se generan al jugar los videojuegos.

From my perspective, video games have played a very important role in many people's lives; more than just a game, they are a kind of portal to escape from the world around us. Video games have served to either de-stress, socialize or just have a good time.
Many people today think that youth is generating vices towards this kind of "entertainment", of course everything in excess is bad and harmful to health, however; some studies have shown that "there is growing evidence that interventions based on computer games and video games help people deal with very specific problems such as social anxiety" according to Mark Baldwin (psychologist at McGill University in Canada); In addition, in a study published in the Journal of Neuroscience, they claimed that playing 3D games can improve concentration and memory through the brain stimuli generated by playing video games.

¿Cómo empecé a jugar videojuegos? // How did I start playing video games?

Todo comenzó cuando tenía alrededor de 5 años, mi padre me llevaba al trabajo, y durante sus tiempos libres me daba su computadora para que pudiera distraerme un poco; allí encontré un juego conocido por muchos, llamado "counter strike", este juego me llamó mucho la atención y lo comencé a jugar.
Luego de un tiempo también lo descargué en la computadora que tenía en mi casa; desafortunadamente tiempo después dañé accidentalmente la computadora (se los juro fue un accidente)

It all started when I was about 5 years old, my father took me to work, and during his free time he gave me his computer so I could distract me a little; there I found a game known by many, called "counter strike", this game caught my attention and I started to play it.
After a while I also downloaded it on the computer I had at home; unfortunately some time later I accidentally damaged the computer (I swear it was an accident).

Mi experencia con el PlayStation // My experience with PlayStation

Luego de lo sucedido mi papá me compró un PlayStation 2, fue una de las consolas más vendidas de la historia; allí jugué muchos juegos conocidos como: Shadow of the Colossus, God of War, Crash, Mortal Combat, Spartan total Warrior y más. Aprendí que la compañía de SONIC tenía muy buenas historias, aunque como algunas personas, en esos momentos no me importaba lo que sucedía, yo solo quería jugar; así que siempre saltaba las cinemáticas; mi hermano por lo contrario nunca las saltaba y siempre estaba al día con las historias y los hechos que sucedían.

After what happened my dad bought me a PlayStation 2, it was one of the best selling consoles in history; there I played many well known games like: Shadow of the Colossus, God of War, Crash, Mortal Combat, Spartan total Warrior and more. I learned that the SONIC company had very good stories, although like some people, in those moments I didn't care what happened, I just wanted to play; so I always skipped the cinematics; my brother on the other hand never skipped them and was always up to date with the stories and the events that happened.

La llegada de Microsoft // The arrival of Microsoft

Yo amaba mi PlayStiton, pero a mi casa llegó una nueva consola, el xbox360, estaba totalmente en contra de ella, prefería quedarme con mi PlayStation, sin embargo con pasar de los días veía que el xbox 360 era mucho mejor; pero sus juegos tenían una historia muy pobre en comparación a los juegos que producía la compañía de SONIC, pero claro, como anteriormente a mi solo me importaba jugar; y la verdad es que la jugabilidad era muy buena, mi control no tenía cables, la resolución era mejor y la jugabilidad también.
En esta nueva consola jugué muchos más juegos que en el PlayStation, como: Halo (casi toda la saga) Call of Duty, Minecraft, Far cry, Dead Space, Assassin´s Creed (casi toda la saga) y muchos juegos más.

I loved my PlayStiton, but a new console arrived at my house, the xbox360, I was totally against it, I preferred to stay with my PlayStation, however as the days went by I saw that the xbox 360 was much better; but its games had a very poor story compared to the games produced by the SONIC company, but of course, as before I only cared about playing; and the truth is that the gameplay was very good, my controller had no cables, the resolution was better and the gameplay was better too.
In this new console I played many more games than in the PlayStation, like: Halo (almost all the saga) Call of Duty, Minecraft, Far cry, Dead Space, Assassin's Creed (almost all the saga) and many more games.

PlayStation vs Xbox

Esta ha sido tal vez una de las desciciones más difíciles que he tenido, y es que realmente ambas me parecen consolas muy buenas; las consolas de PlayStation tienen una gran historia en la mayor parte de sus juegos, cosa que xbox no siempre posee; Pero en los xbox siempre puedes jugar muy bien, incluso sin necesidad de tener un control a la mano, y esta es la clase de inovación que en lo personal me gusta tener; por lo que siempre estoy de parte de Microsoft.

This has been perhaps one of the most difficult decisions I've had, and is that really both seem to me very good consoles; PlayStation consoles have a great story in most of their games, something that xbox does not always have; But in the xbox you can always play very well, even without having to have a controller at hand, and this is the kind of innovation that I personally like to have; so I'm always on Microsoft's side.

¿Que juego ahora? // What game do I play now?

Actualmente aunque aún tengo mi xbox, prefiero jugar con otras personas a través de los juegos en línea; mis juegos favoritos son primeramente Mobile Legends, un juego Moba, en el que mi principal rol es el de asesino, siendo el #3 en el rango local con uno de los personajes llamado "hayabusa"; y también juego Free Fire, un battle royale, en el cual tambien soy bueno, pero no lo juego con tanta frecuncia como Mobile Legends. Estos juegos mediante la conexión a internet han sido a mí parecer la mejor manera en la que puedo comunicarme con otras personas. Realmente nunca antes me había interasado en esta clase de juegos, sin embargo, la llegada de la pandemia combió muchas cosas.
Ahora si que me interesan las historias de los juegos que he estado jugando más allá de mi celular, me importa cada detalle y creo que es mucho mejor que jugar para "quemar el tiempo"

Currently although I still have my xbox, I prefer to play with other people through online games; my favorite games are firstly Mobile Legends, a Moba game, in which my main role is that of an assassin, being #3 in the local rank with one of the characters called "hayabusa"; and I also play Free Fire, a battle royale, in which I am also good, but I don't play it as often as Mobile Legends. These games have been the best way for me to communicate with other people through the internet connection. I had never really been interested in this kind of games before, however, the arrival of the pandemic has changed a lot of things.
Now I am interested in the stories of the games I have been playing beyond my cell phone, I care about every detail and I think it is much better than playing to "burn time".
