Hello all gamers
What makes a good puzzle game?
Is it the difficulty? How clever are the solutions or is there something else that goes hand in hand with what the gameplay offers?
It's something I had recently wondered about with Braid, another game I've read on some forum that is quite good and leaves some headaches when trying to solve it
So I decided to try it, at least for a while
The art is not really my style, it's not one of those I like and it's clear that it was made by a rather small team of people, this is an old game after all and surely made by two people.
But once you get into the game it's a different feeling, we're constantly solving puzzles and trying to reach the puzzle pieces of some paintings we have at home
The interface is null and only at the beginning they show us what we have to know which is also little, some buttons to jump, to move and what differentiates this game from others
The button to rewind time is what makes many of the puzzles we find make sense, it's simple, when pressing it our protagonist Tim will retrace his steps, even when we die we can simply go back and repeat the whole maneuver
But something obvious also crosses my mind What is the objective of the game of course each world has various doors that seem connected and that all seem to be part of some of the paintings we see at the beginning
In addition we will always be forced to go through them but we can always skip the part of solving the puzzle if we don't know the answer
When we gather all the pieces of a world there will surely come a time when we have to solve the corresponding painting as well
and all this We will have to I do it in the four levels that the game has, of course the difficulty will advance with the levels and each time we will find more curious ways to use Tim's time ability
I don't like the character models that we find but what I do like is the background that we see in each level, curious fact here, they were all made with watercolor
I didn't look at many reviews of the game before trying it, when someone recommends something to me I usually take the word of the person who makes the recommendation and trust their judgment
I was very surprised that Braid had been on the market for more than 10 years and that I had never seen it at least on PC, looking now at the opinions on Google many complain about the short duration of the game but so far I think that the puzzles are going to take me to 4 hours easily
I have played it on PC but just after discovering it I saw that they have already released versions for mobile phones and tablets so it can be played there and I don't see much difference because it is a simple game to understand
I can recommend it if you don't have much more to do play, some say you can complete it in a couple of hours if you're smart, which I'm not, but it's a game that gives you a good time
I want to take advantage of these last lines to thank the entire @hivegc team that has supported me in my posts recently
I hope to continue contributing with publications and if they ever do a competitive tournament, be sure that I will be supporting, that's all
THANK YOU VERY MUCH, SEE YOU
