I haven't played this game since I was 13.... Let's see how much it has changed

When you think of a game that gives you indefinite freedom and has infinite creation mechanisms, you probably think of Minecraft

But what if I told you that there are other similar games but much scarier and in some cases you could even say much more entertaining

I took a look at Terraria, which is a game that I once dedicated thousands of hours to with my friends and that today seems to be unknown to me due to all the updates it has had

This is a community game, unlike Minecraft, it can be even difficult to play today play

image.png

You just appear somewhere and from there you have to do the basics, there are different game modes but always and mainly we will have to collect materials to survive the monsters and the night that are always there lurking

image.png

I actually remembered this game being even a bit easier

Okay I had a lot more time and interest to investigate everything behind the crafting system

image.png

It's cruel to notice When you grow up you lose interest in certain things like video games that have always been there for me

I remember many times when I could spend hours playing without getting tired during the day but today I can't string two thoughts together without falling into a coma for two days

imagen.png

Much less playing video games like Terraria that although they are a little more mature thanks to their constant horror updates I think I'm going to be detached from this type of gigantic game

Where there are too many options to have and they are usually slow-cooking games where we have to sit for hours developing to be able to take advantage of everything it has to offer

No I don't know if it's because I'm old or my passion for video games is not the same as before but in many moments I have found Terraria a bit dense for me especially because I look for games that do not require too much time to learn their generals

imagen.png

There was another thing that I had not done in Terraria and that is to explore the depths for a longer period and it is that this little one scared me a little to go into but this time I had enough courage to do it

image.png

And anyway I find it terrifying what I find

Not only because visibility is limited but there are mobs everywhere and all coming straight towards me

There is no feeling that the monsters are there living but I think they are waiting for me to pass by to attack me and finish me off

There are some that are like demonic scorpions that I am sure that if I had not seen them as a child I surely would not have played this game again in my life

I have seen that they have added much more content than I expected especially in the caves because I have found many chests as well as areas inhabited

image.png

I think Terraria could be classified as one of the best games that care about its players and the content it gives them

It even surpasses Minecraft in this aspect because I didn't expect so much new content differentiating itself from the game I played around 2013

Still I think it's such a massive game that I'm sure I won't last too long playing it until I put it aside or freeze my game

THANK YOU VERY MUCH, SEE YOU

  • All content is mine unless I state the source

If you like video game content you can follow me, I also talk about chess and life itself so I'll wait for you.

I have heard it as well. Even though I played a lot of Minecraft, Vanilla Minecraft doesn't have much content to aid the progression. But that doesn't seem like the case with Terarria.

I come back to it every few months xD

I have never played Terraria, maybe I have missed a good game here

I've always been struck by the difficulty of the game against Minecraft, but I've never played it beyond when it launched.

Terraria is a game that seems to have absurd amounts of content hidden in its recesses. I bought my friends Terraria and we played for a solid month before burnout set in and even though we finally got to the 'final' boss we were tired of playing it.

Like you I am finding myself turning on more games with a quick 'to the point' objective instead of figuring it out by playing. It's just time, age, attention, and general care for the game setting. Games are meant for different people and the point of these Crafting/open ended type of games are to drop in and out whenever the player has the time, patience, or urge to play. No worries if the game doesn't stick to the player!

Thanks for your sharing your revisit!
