It has been a roller coaster so far
Man, this game is a ton of fun. Apart from just running around the city and slashing zombies to pieces, this game has a really fun story as well.
One of the really cool things about the game is that the story can go in so many different directions. There are basically two stories that I know of right now and I wonder how different they are.
Early in the game, you can choose to help the Peace Keepers, which is like a military faction or choose to help the people of the Bazaar, which are basically like the common folk just trying to survive.
I chose to help the Bazaar, but at first, they didn't really seem to trust, me. But after a few missions, you start to gain their trust and become a part of them. Meanwhile, it is pissing off the Peace Keepers and they begin to hunt for you.
The main thing you are trying to do is to get to the center of the city to find your sister, but to get there, you have to kind of dismantle the Peace Keepers. I just made it to the center and there were so many crazy twists along the way.
Normally in these types of games, you are bombarded with quests that have you running all over the place and meeting so many random people that it is easy to forget them along the way. This game is a bit different, because there really aren't that many people left, so you begin to get to know the people that are left and there are so many different side quests where you begin to care for them and it kind of sucks when some of them die.
Overall, I am having a blast with this game. It is way better than I was anticipating it would be. It kind of makes me want to get the first one after I am done playing this one and see how that one is.
I am going to stream for a bit, so if you catch this post, I will be playing a bit and progressing through the story.
Yo, I was curious, how deep is choice-driven stuff? I've seen plenty of streams of the game but no one seems to talk about that aspect.
Did you feel like your choices created wholly new paths? Or are they just there for flair?
Peace.
From what I could tell, your choices do send you down a series of other quests in the zones. In this new zone, they don't have contact with the previous zone, so it looks like each zone has its own series of quests and choices you can make that may not affect the others.
I litrally started the first game about 2 weeks ago, I really like and want to get through it before jumping into this one. I'm raging I hadn't played the first one sooner so I could onto this.
Have fun with the first one. I wish I would have played it now. You are going to really enjoy this one after you finish the first.
It seems interesting. I always value a good story. Might give it a go at some point when im done with Valhalla.
Have fun with Valhalla. That one is a great game as well. I was playing that for the second time before this game came out.
Looks like I'm adding another zombie game into my Steam wishlist... No shame at all!
You won't regret it. This game is a lot of fun.
I remember trying to playing the first game with a friend of mine a while ago and it was literally impossible due to my motion sickness thing. This keeps me away from many games unfortunately. I have no idea if it will be the same in Dying Light 2 but this one looks so nice, damn! 😞😞
This one can get disorienting if you aren't used to the point of view, but I actually like it now. It is a super immersive way to play these games.
I see. Then I guess I'll have the same experience. I'm seriously thinking on starting to take pills for that 😞

I think as soon as I've got the extra $ I'll be buying it for the ps4 pro. I was going to wait until my PC was upgraded, but I'll probably just buy it again on steam, once it is.
