After a certain point in the game, as players develop and start becoming stronger, it will simply be useless and pointless for someone to stomp a newbie, they will obtain next to no rewards (assuming they're really far into their development tree, more or less) in comparison to fighting someone of their level.

Technically, there is nothing stopping a user with 5000 KP (kingdom power) attacking a user with 500 KP, but the roundabout losses they'll incur by not playing on their power level would be detrimental for their development in the future.

On top of that, if the weaker user calculates their strategy correctly, they could even beat the stronger user in a battle, with a bit of luck involved in the process as well.

Okay so it works sort of ladder elo (the principle) , where, if the rank 1 player beats the rank 99999 gets just 1 elo point but if he loses, he loses a lot, sounds good
