A mobile client is coming to RavenQuest, with the first stress test scheduled for mid-January. This top-down, fantasy MMO already proved extremely popular with their play to airdrop campaigns in 2024. Adding a mobile client to the mix is sure to only bolster their presence in the web3 gaming scene.
And this mobile client won’t just be a companion app or a ‘lite’ version of RavenQuest. This will be the full game, fully playable on mobile devices! The RavenQuest team says that they have put a lot of effort into making the interface intuitive and easy to use for mobile gamers.
The initial release is for Android only, but the team hopes to expand mobile compatibility in the future.
First RavenQuest Mobile Stress Test
This first test will only be open to those who own a land plot or a Munk NFT. The test will run from January 16th, 9am PST through January 17th, 9am PST.
More details should be announced before the test begins, but the team does say that they will give out rewards for anyone for finds and reports mobile-specific bugs.
What is RavenQuest?
RavenQuest is a retro-style, massive multiplayer, fantasy RPG. Players learn skills, fight monsters, gather loot, level up, craft, farm, and all of that other stuff you would expect from an old school MMORPG such as Ultima Online or Runescape or Everquest.
RavenQuest allows players to mix and match archetypes (classes of a sort) and customize their characters with the powers they want to focus on. So you can be an archer-mage or a witch-healer or a barbarian-ninja, or any of a number of options. Players can also use RavenCards to enhance specific skills.
On top of that RavenQuest also features an interactive crafting system with ten different harvesting and crafting professions for aspiring merchants to pursue.
RavenQuest is free to play. They currently have two primary NFT collections -- land plots (custom housing and craft area) and MUnks. RavenCards and various cosmetic items will also be tradeable.
The previous airdrop campaigns awarded players with QUEST tokens for accumulating gold through quests, social interactions, and simply by earning it in-game. The team plans to officially launch RavenQuest sometime in 2025.
