God of War: Mountain's Base.

God of War ²⁰¹⁸ was developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment and released worldwide for windows at January 14 2022. It's an action-adventure video game.

This time we got reach the mountain after fighting a big snow ape that I've shown in the thumbnail.

When we were looking for more hidden areas, we discovered Veitnurgard which was a area full of deadly enemies and I had to try for sometimes to go forward as those enemies kept killing me in the first place.

And when I was succeeded in defeating those enemies, I ran forward and found this dragon kept flaming toward us.

We had to dodge the flames stay away from the flames and we chose those mountain covers when the dragon recharge after every flames

I thought I could kill the dragon throwing my axe and I even tried but I was wrong, it was not about killing the dragon, it was about freeing her.

When I got close to the dragon and stayed at a place where the flame don't touch me, I got to know the name of the dragon. She is Otr and I had to free her from this prison by destroying shrines binding her.

What I understood was when Otr couldn't flame me, she was doing something which was trying to electrocute me and it was like the thunders of Thor. The poor Otr didn't understand that I was there to free her.

There were total three shrines binding the dragon and I had to destroy all of them to free her. I believe, those are the three symbols of the three shrines. Let's find and destroy some shrines, shall we?

There were creatures attacking me from a far so I went closer to them and destroyed them.

So, this is what a shrine looks like and it was one of three that I needed to destroy to free the dragon.

Finding two shrines and destroying them was kind of easy but it was hard to find the third shrine but I kept looking for it.

And I've found this big gate surrounded with some statues and the gate was locked and there were bunch of deadly enemies outside the gate that we needed to fight.

Then I had to do play some puzzles to open the gate and it was really hard as I didn't understand what I actually needed to do in the puzzles and at a point, I gave up and I ran backwards to see if I get any clue.

There I fought more enemies and I didn't get anything so I returned back to the gate and looking further around the place, I understood what I really needed to do and I unlocked the big gate.

After going inside the gate, I had to fight more enemies and then I've found the third shrine there and I destroyed it.

Now I had to return to the anchor to free Otr but before returning there, I did some exploring inside there.

And I've found this Daudi Hamarr imprisoned under a cage and I had to open the cage in order to fight him.

I opened it and fought him but I was getting killed repeatedly and I tried to beat him repeatedly until I gave up on him and left the place to free the dragon.

Returning to the anchor, we've found a skeleton of something that Atreus destroyed using his knife.

There, Otr was free and flew to the sky and I think I got some special powers or something and I guess I'll get to fly the dragon someday soon in this game as I just freed her.

Then I used the mystic gateway from that area which took me to the great bridge and I gave up looking for more hidden areas as it kept getting time consuming.

After doing some fighting and exploring, we were in the outside world again and discovered another area named Footnills.

There we met Sindri, the brother of Brok who started asking Kratos about the axe as soon as he saw it and I got to know that this axe was being made for the mother of Atreus.

When Sindri got to know the truth, he offered doing improvements to the axe and we let him do some.

After doing some upgrades to the axe, we started moving towards the mountain again.

And that's when we've found this big ape came out of nowhere.

And started attacking us so we had to attack back to keep us alive and when the ape was about to rip a hand of Kratos apart, Atreus put his knife inside an eye of the ape and then Kratos did an axe punch which made me think that the ape died.

But I was wrong, the ape woke up and there came more smaller enemies as well and we had to fight all of them at once.

And finally I killed the ape as well as the other enemies.

Then we opened the gate from where the ape came and we discovered the mountain's base. We ran forward and we found the road ahead was blocked so they were heart broken and Atreus was wishing the witch was there with them so she could get them past this.

And that's when the witch started talking from behind them and she said her magic was useless against this black breath and she sounded like Odin did this.

The witch came back to make sure we finish our journey. Then the witch was talking about a way to break this corruption of magic.

And the really big chapter "Path to the Mountain" was completed there and the journey continues with "A Realm Beyond" Now who knows what happens in the following path? We'll check that out in another post soon.
