Playing games is probably the most convenient way to chill after a very long day of hard work. It is the cheapest one to de-stress yourself too as you only need a device to play with and sometimes, an internet connection to get connected to the games you desire to play.
I don't play games a lot since I have to babysit my nephew, who'll be turning 3 next month, but if I do, I mostly go for the classic ones. I opted for classic games unless they are easy ones or something I can earn too.
For today's article, after being absent for several days, I am going to share with you the games I have always enjoyed playing. This idea is inspired by the recent addiction to board games again.
Here are the games that I have always enjoyed playing ever since:
Chess
Chess is the first game I learned when I was around 5 or 6 years old. It was my eldest brother who taught me how to play the game. From the basic moves for each piece to the techniques, and how to beat your opponent, my brother patiently taught me every bit of it.
Tong-its and Pusoy dos
These card games are pretty popular in the Philippines. I first saw it from my neighbor who used to play this along with the other adults in the neighborhood, including my parents. Lol. They used to do some bids too, to add more excitement to this game.
Scrabble
The next board game and the first word game I learned is the Scrabble. This, again, was also introduced to me by the same neighbor. After a few days of observation, I learned the concept and since then, Scrabble has been one of my favorites.
Word Factory
Another word game that I so love is the Word Factory. Unlike Scrabble, which is only limited to 4 players, Word Factory has no limit. You can have as many opponents as you want.
What I love about this game is that it has a time limit. This will give you an adrenaline rush, especially if you are a competitive player and you really want to win.
Text Twist
This word game is the first one I tried online. I was only a freshman when I tried this game for the first time. Just like Word Factory, it has a time limit too, which makes it more challenging. I love the rush! It exercises my brain to function well.
Games of the Generals
Games of the Generals is one of the board games that I have always enjoyed playing. This game is quite similar to chess, except that you won't be able to see your opponent's pieces. This is why a referee is required to judge the gameplay.
I have not played this for a long time now and because of this article, I might order one online. I hope it's not too pricey though.
Sudoku
I hate Math as a kid but that doesn't stop me from loving Sudoku. This game is one of my favorites too. It is a good way to improve your logic as you mostly analyze the numbers to help you solve the entire problem.
Monopoly and UNO
Who would have thought that I would get to play these two? I only used to see this in English movies. Thanks to my sister, I got to play Monopoly and UNO during the pandemic. She bought this for the kids and as a kid at heart, I made sure to try these games out. Glad I did though.
Closing thoughts
So there you have it, the list of games that I have always enjoyed playing. Of all the games on this list, my top 3 favorites are Scrabble, Chess, and Games of the Generals. The only games I played recently though are Scrabble and Chess.
So, what games are you into? Do you also play any of these games I have mentioned above? If so, feel free to share them in the comment section below.

Yeah, I used to do that too at work during my idle time. Great way to relax the brain instead of being a marites. HEHE.

My nieces and nephews love that game too. They also play Mine craft and other games.
