Hello, gamers! I hope you're ok. Today I want to talk to you about Little Nightmares, a game I've been wanting to talk about for a while, today we'll talk exactly about its sequel (which I think would be more like a prequel, save me from the mistake if it's not). Without further ado, let's get started.
¡Hola, gamers! Espero que estén bien. Hoy quiero hablarles de Little Nightmares, juego del que quería hablar desde hace un tiempo, hoy hablaremos exactamente de su secuela (que creo que más bien vendría siendo un precuela, sáquenme del error si no es así). Sin más preámbulos, comencemos.
This game is so great that I honestly don't know where to start. The aesthetics and technical aspects are a delight. The photography is very well done, the camera shots, the lights and shadows, the blurring in the distance, are all elements present in this game and you can tell that they were worked on with love. The colour palette is opaque (which is logical in horror games) but it doesn't detract from the game and helps the oppressive atmosphere that the story wants to generate.
Este juego es tan genial que sinceramente no sé por donde empezar. La estética y su apartado técnico es una delicia, la fotografía está muy bien cuidada, los planos de cámara, las luces y sombras, la difuminación a la distancia, son elementos presentes en este juego y que se nota que los trabajaron con cariño. La paleta de colores es opaca (lo lógico en juegos de Terror) pero no desluce el juego y ayuda a la ambientación opresiva que quiere generar la historia.
I don't know if I should call Little Nightmares a Survival Horror even though it has two of the essential elements for the genre like survival and horror which is the main goal of this game, it also contains elements from other genres like platformer and adventure. In its official site it says that it belongs to the Adventure Thriller genre so I guess that's the right genre :3
No sé si catalogar a Little Nightmares como un Survival Horror aunque tenga dos de los elementos indispensables para el género como la supervivencia y el terror, que es el objetivo principal de este juego, además también contiene elementos de otros géneros como el de plataformas y aventuras. En su sitio oficial dice que pertenece al género de Aventura de Suspense, así que supongo que ese es el género adecuado :3
The mechanics fascinate me, the way the main characters move and how small they are (as well as being children) makes you think of fragility and that contributes to the feeling of insecurity and unrest that the game transmits, in fact it can even awaken our hidden maternal or paternal instinct when we want to protect these children from this world of nightmares.
Las mecánicas me fascinan, la forma en la que se mueven los personajes principales y lo pequeños que son (además de tratarse de niños) hace pensar en la fragilidad, y eso contribuye a la sensación de inseguridad y desasosiego que el juego transmite, de hecho puede incluso despertar nuestro escondido instinto maternal o paternal al querer proteger a esos niños de ese mundo de pesadillas.
I can't talk about Little Nightmares without talking about its enemies, and the development team went above and beyond when it came to the design of these characters. Let's take a look at my favourites:
No puedo hablar de Little Nightmares sin hablar de sus enemigos y es que el equipo de desarrollo fue mucho más allá cuando se trató del diseño de estos personajes. Vamos a ver a mis preferidos:
The Teacher / La profesora
It's fixed that the idea of this lady's design was inspired by the Yokai Rokurokubi from Japanese folklore and I always thought that a video game with such an enemy would scare anyone to death, well Little Nightmares delivered and brought us "The Professor" an amorphous woman who has the ability to stretch her neck to look for the source of the noise in order to catch us. The part where I felt like I was going to have a heart attack was this:
Es fijo que la idea del diseño de esta señora se vio inspirado en el Yokai Rokurokubi del folklore japonés, y siempre pensé que un videojuego con un enemigo así mataría a cualquiera de miedo, pues Little Nightmares lo cumplió y nos trajo a "La Profesora", una mujer amorfa que tiene la habilidad de estirar su cuello para buscar el origen del ruido y poder atraparnos. La parte en la que sentí que me iba a dar un infarto fue esta:

The Patients / Los Pacientes
It was very naive of me to believe that the teacher in the ventilation duct would be the worst part, for me the worst part was definitely the hospital because of these patients with furniture parts moving erratically in the dark. They reminded me a lot of the nurses in Silent Hill's Alchemilla Hospital and I was really tense during this part.
Fue muy inocente de mi parte creer que la profesora en el ducto de ventilación sería lo peor, para mi sin lugar a dudas la peor parte fue la del hospital, por estos pacientes de partes de muebles que se mueven de forma errática en la oscuridad. Me recordaron mucho a las enfermeras del hospital Alchemilla de Silent Hill, y en verdad estuve demasiado tensa durante esta parte.
Thin Man / El larguirucho
His appearance that reminds me of the Crooked Man (which makes me panic), his teleportation powers and the fact that he also slows down the characters when he runs, undoubtedly make him the most terrifying enemy in the game, and also the fact that he walks slowly while chasing the main character makes him more unsettling to who he represents.
Su apariencia que me recuerda al Hombre Encovado (que me causa pánico), sus poderes de teletransporte y que además ralentiza a los personajes al correr, sin dudas lo hacen el enemigo más aterrador del juego, y también el hecho de que camine lentamente mientras persigue al personaje principal le aporta más inquietud a quien representa.

little nightmares Definitivamente es una joyita. De los mejores juegos que he jugado. Te recomiendo Inside, es del mismo del estilo y también limbo (aunque este es una entrega mucho mas antigua que Inside, pero igualmente es una joya).
Si, de Inside ya hice un post hace algun tiempo jeje. Por ahora no puedo jugar videojuegos (estoy que me muero y me falta bastante para poder hacerlo) pero en cuanto pueda ya tengo varios juegos en lista para jugar y hacer gameplays. Muchas gracias por leer

La profundidad del juego es muy buena, yo jugué él 1 y me gusto muchísimo, no lo acabe pero si que estaba bueno, me atrevería a jugarlo de nuevo y él 2 igual
