Elden Ring | Entered The Territory Of Level 5 Beasts | Met Bamboo/Grasshopper Enemies | Challenged Commander O’ Neil And A New Enemy | Reality Check

Hello guys hope all of you are doing good. Games like these are difficult for people like me who do not understand that level matters. I didn’t know until my friend had told me that this was supposedly a level 5 area, Swamp Of Aeonia and my health and stats were significantly low.

As soon as I logged in I sat on grace and ungraded my Dexterity to lvl-17. Had about 13 rune to go with, you know what that means. Less to lose and bravery mode activated. And on I went into the area without knowing that the enemies inside the tunnel of Sellia Crystal were sub-level compared to what was outside it.

I didn’t go to the left part of the area yet. I saw the huge heart shaped spore oozing drifter and thought why not go at it.

The New Strange

I eliminated 2 of them, gave me a good 543 rune each. They are tanks. I may be wrong, either they are tanks or I am seriously under-ranked for the area. Yeah, I skipped a vast amount of farming and went on looking for new areas.

New Annoying Enemy

This enemy looked mostly like a grasshopper. It’s body looked like that of bamboo. It had wayy to many arms and had 3 weapon types. This one here and a dagger/blade and swung it. It hit a successive attack and reduced my health to half bar while I did the same to it. 2 more weapons of it are: spear and arrow. Each are used to their suitable range of course.

The Commander O’ Neil. The guy who summoned 6 of his subjects right off the bat, they used me as their prime choice of target practice with their archers. The window of a moment where the guy summoned his compatriots was where I dealt about 500+ damage but was not enough to put a dent out the guy. This amount of damage was enough for the people back in Limgrave🥲. Died after a valiant effort, only got about 1/4 of his life in my first try.

Once they were dealt with, I went deep into the Swamp Of Aeonia. Here, I saw that I was getting a de-buff of Scarlet Rot, a new sort of downgrade and it happened when I got off the horse and into the river itself. Then I was met with this guy, a very difficult enemy and my weapons were rendered useless. The damage I made were negligible compared to it’s. Died about a number of times but didn’t lose much runes as I had 0 amount to begin with.

He dealt me a bleed damage and the Scarlet Rot was present from the beginning as I wanted to try and take him without the horse. Died right after…

I lost about 1.5k runes here as I was gangbanged by this commander guy and the other walker outside his residence. This was my last fight, I dropped more than half his health my with my not so upgraded weapon and zero ash of war attribute. My golden halberd from the Tree Sentinel was also useless as it consumed much of my endurance and hindered my movement, got hit by the archers more frequently so I used the sword only. Died right after as well. This was indeed a difficult area and I was outmatched by a large margin.

I did understand that I had to take people on my level and do the one thing that I hate the most, grind for runes throughout the place.
