Álvaro Torres es de origen salvadoreño, nacido en el año 1954. Intérprete que alcanzó su estrellato obteniendo varios discos de platino y oro. Ha visitado muchos países realizando giras entre ellos Cuba, donde ha venido en varias ocasiones ofreciendo varios conciertos. El pueblo cubano es un seguidor fiel de su música.
Lo que se dice olvidar es un tema musical que trata sobre el amor que siente una persona hacia la que fue su pareja, siendo capaz de dejar atrás todo lo malo sucedido en la relación para perdonar y comenzar otra vez. Es un amor tan grande, al punto de poder olvidar, solamente naciendo de nuevo.
