Vibes Web3 music competition Week 27 - Hallowed be thy name (Bass Cover) By @Brianmfr

in Vibes19 days ago

Hello friend of Hive and the Vibes community. This is my first Cover for the contest. A friend told me about this. I'm a bass player, I like metal a lot. I'm also a hardcore Iron Maiden and Metallica fan. So you'll see me rocking the community a lot. I understand we're on week 27. I hope you like my cover.

I was reading the last post, where they mentioned that written stories would be rewarded. I am considering bringing my own music along with my writing. Since I really enjoy writing. In the meantime, I wanted to attach a story with this Maiden cover, to give a little more context and aura to a rather heartbreaking and classic heavy metal song.

Below is my short story:

My Descent into the Flames

A cube of stone and shadows. The days melt away and I don't know when it's today, tomorrow, or yesterday. My surroundings are anguish and waiting. In this hellish descent, I pray to god, if there is anyone who can and will listen to me despite what I've done.

With each beat of my heart, death comes closer. Sometimes, I close my eyes and imagine myself free, running through fields, under a sky. Mirages of my mind that vanish when I open my eyes.

When the time came, I was led down those gloomy corridors, towards the room where my life passed away. Every step an eternity, every sound an echo in my empty soul. Arriving at the hall, I saw the gallows, black and menacing, like a crow perched on a dehydrated and dry tree.

At that instant, something inside me snapped. Resignation turned to rebellion. I was not going to let them take me without a fight. With a strength that welled up from within me, I broke free of my bonds and lit a small flame. The flame grew quickly, feeding on all the dry wood in the room.

Panic took hold of them, of those who were imprisoning me. At that moment I felt peace. The flames engulfed everything around me, creating an artificial inferno. In that sea of fire, I felt free. Free from my society, and from death.

Eso estuvo bien hermano la verdad es que está es una de las bandas más icónicas del rock, tu interpretación en el instrumento estuvo super aunque la iluminación me hubiera gustado menos oscura eso es a tu gusto, bien echo amigo bendiciones

That was good brother the truth is that this is one of the most iconic rock bands, your interpretation on the instrument was super although I would have liked the lighting less dark that is to your liking, well done friend blessings

Thank you for your comment. You are right and it is accurate, unfortunately I couldn't record with a better quality camera, as I used the one on my phone to pick up the bass signal on my interface, I also recorded the video late at night and it didn't play in my favor. I will try to correct those things for the future. Thanks for watching my video post
