Greetings, Splinterlands warriors. We meet again in a post written in these final days of the year. With just one week left before the new year, I’ve noticed that HIVE’s price has started to strengthen. Not a dramatic surge, of course, but enough to spark a small kind of hope—the quiet kind, not loud, but warm. Many are hoping the year will close with a subtle smile called a rise in HIVE’s price. Whether it happens or not, we’ve learned too many times that in the crypto world, hope and reality often sit at different tables.
But let’s leave the charts for a moment and step into an arena with more certain outcomes: Brawl.

In the latest Brawl, my guild managed to secure second place. Not the top spot, but also not something that needs to be hidden behind long excuses. Second place feels like sitting in a train seat by the window—not at the very front, but the view is still worth enjoying.

As for my personal share, I had to play 4 battles. Out of those, only 2 were true wins, but when counted across the entire fray, my total record shows 6 victories. Not heroic, not tragic—just realistic.
From this Brawl, our guild earned:
- 🏆 46 Crowns
- 🎖️ 2,300 Merits for each fully participating member
- 💎 27,307 staked SPS for players with a Spellbook
Not numbers that make people shout, but enough to make me nod quietly and say, “Yeah, not bad.”
The two losses I took weren’t because I forgot to set my cards, but more due to the reality of Brawl itself: opponents never ask whether we’re ready or not. Some battles feel heavy right from the loading screen, while others only reveal their weight after the second round.
At this point, I was reminded once again that Brawl isn’t just about strong cards, but about reading situations, accepting limitations, and not forcing strategic ego. Sometimes you lose not because you’re careless, but because your opponent simply came better prepared.
Gladius Cases Opened
Like an old habit that’s hard to let go, the Merits from previous Brawls had already been saved up. Added to this round’s rewards, the total finally became enough to open 3 Gladius cases.
I didn’t delay.
I opened all three at once, without rituals, without excessive hope.

Experience has taught me that expecting too much often ends in small disappointments.

The results?
- 🎴 1 Epic card: GORTH (Fire) — appeared right at the start, enough to raise an eyebrow
- 🎴 5 Rare cards
- The rest were Commons
- ❌ No Gold cards
Not spectacular, but not disappointing either. There were a few cards I genuinely needed for battle rotation, such as Captain Katie. Unfortunately, because many of my Gladius cards had already been upgraded before, this batch wasn’t enough to level up any card.
Which means one thing:
Start again from zero. Collecting slowly, as always.
Closing: The Brawl Ends, the Story Continues
That’s the story of my Brawl this week.
Not perfect, not bad either. Second place, three Gladius cases, one Epic, several Rares, and a handful of old lessons relearned.
Play Brawl not just to win, but to last. Gather Merits patiently, enjoy the process, and never stop learning from losses—because in Splinterlands, the most dangerous thing isn’t losing, but stopping altogether.
See you in the next arena.
May HIVE continue to strengthen, SPS remain loyal, and the contents of Gladius cases someday be kinder to all of us.
