🎚 CENTRAL TRUTH:
Sometimes in life, taking painful decisions is gainful.

📖 BIBLE TEXT:
Daniel 3:8 - 18

🔑 KEY VERSE:

"Yes all those who desire to live godly will suffer persecution" (II Tim. 3:12, NIV)

🖊️ COMMENTARY
In most cases, getting things done properly requires some difficult decisions. A road construction company that wants to construct a good road must be ready to step on people's toes. If the road must be straight and wide enough, economic trees, houses, filling stations and many other things must go.
Doing things right has never been easy.

For instance, it cost Moses his 'comfort zone', his position as son of Pharaoh's daughter and all the privileges of the Egyptian royal house to take the Israelites to their Promised Land. The Bible says that he chose a hard life with God's people rather than an opportunistic soft life of sin with the oppressor, Pharaoh. He valued suffering in the Messiah's camp far greater than Egyptian wealth because he was looking ahead, anticipating the payoff (Heb. 11:24-26 MSG). That was a hard decision for a better result. The three young Jewish men, Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego took a hard decision to stand out for God in Babylon in spite of King Nebuchadnezzar's command. They refused to worship the king's golden image even when the fire was heated refusing to yield to his mistress, sexual demands without considering the consequences of his refusal. He knew that it was an act of wickedness against God which would make the fulfillment of his dream impossible.

God may ask us to take some hard decisions so that His will may be done in our lives. It could be by way of sacrificial giving or giving up a particular attitude or something we love that His name will be glorified

🙏🏿 PRAYER
Father, help me to step up my faith to where I can take hard decisions for God no matter the circumstances.
