Today I was becoming worried about my writing journey on Hive. Not that I don’t know what to write but I don’t think in terms of user engagement I feel like what brings eyeballs and attention is not what I have been focused on with my writing.
What could be changed?
What could be improved?
What could be added or removed?
These are the top reflective questions I’ve had to ask myself for more insight.
Firstly, I think what could be changed in my write-ups is my timing. I sometimes spend more time writing and choosing the best title for a post than I’ve spent writing before and I think maybe if I spend less time on titles and instead on crafting perfect content it could get the numbers up. Nothing technical, just me trying to look at the mundane changes that could improve things.
Secondly, what could be improved?
Tbh there are a lot of things that need improvement from the title to the conclusion and to the whole thing itself but I think what can truly be changed without bothering much about all that for now will be the flow. I’ve enjoyed some good flow writing moments in the past and even if they are not the perfect type they are at least mine only that writing with flow takes a lot of time too but it’s worth it in the end.
Lastly, I have a lot of things to add but I’ll focus on the main ones like more photography illustration. Many people seem to be more comfortable with looking at images than radon through texts which is somehow understandable. Moving forward more photos would do much good than harm.
These are just a few things noticed at first and of course, the readers are the ones who see it all so I’d leave the rest to you. What can be changed, removed or added? Comment below
Great to see you reflecting on your journey, I think we're all on a similar journey. Learning and growing as we go.
Images are a great way to break up a post and keep people interested. They can tell the story without having to write it.
The only other suggestion I'd have is focus your attention to communities that appreciate the type of work you're creating, everything has its place and those posts in the correct place have a lot more impact.
Thanks for the great addition.
I’ll try your last suggestion. I think it’s one of the things that’s really gets you out there.
Bro, my most real and personal opinion about this is it doesnt matter what u write (if u mean numbers up is value vote) sometimes.
I say that because sometimes i write with shaking hands really quick tryn to take out something in my mind, the it have 20 votes (by bots with no value) and no reply, for me is ok.
But sometimes i just turn write few words just to keep the posts alive, and boom lot of votes and comments...
...is like, ok what is this about.
!LOL !DOOK
I can relate pretty much with that but I think my end goal would be engagement like real and honest replies like yours.
It sure doesn’t matter what you write sometimes. but most times I think the little effort we put in each time would build a good reputation for us and help create a relationship with people with same and different minds.
Thanks for your addition.
