You may or may not have noticed the ICON on my recent blogs next to the payout amount? Well, it's NEW thanks to @acidyo and @hivetrending's diligent efforts in their collaboration. The program is named Comment Rewarder.
@commentrewarder went live eleven days ago on September 23. We all know that engagement is key with an social platform. CR attempts to assist in this effort by providing incentives for authors and readers to come together.
Since July, 2019 when I joined the other blockchain, then moved to Hive, I learned a valuable lesson about engagement: You Get What You Give.
So immediately, I began broadening my circle of acquaintances by branching out and interacting with other members and communities. Not only did I gain online friendships, I exchanged opinions, viewpoints, and feedback from others that broaden my knowledge of the world.
I believe my initiative to actively seek out and engage with others led to those Hive members who have come to know me and my quality of work and decided to Follow my Hive journey.
In return, I have always tried to reward those who engage with me. I'm only a Dolphin in terms of the size of my account, so my account doesn't have as huge of an impact in terms of Hive Power vote weight as I would like to bestow on my readers. But I try anyway.
Now, I have CommentRewarder to assist in my efforts. To date, I've included @commentrewarder on 9 posts.
First, CommentRewarder is a bot that rewards the comments your readers make. Using the service is relatively simple that's done by the BENEFICIARY method. If you're using PeakD, before you publish your post, visit the ADVANCED Button next to the TAGS list. Below is how the Beneficiaries screen appears in PeakD:
- add @commentrewarder to your beneficiary list;
- choose 3% or more as the Reward.
NEXT, Upvote any replies to your post you feel are deserving with the vote weight of your choice.
The key to success of the program and receiving rewards I feel is that you, as the reader, must comment on the post before the end of three days.
AT 3 DAYS
Once your post is three (3) days old, CR gathers the details of the post's discussion thread. Any Replies upvoted by you are eligible for extra rewards.
AT 7 DAYS
When the post is seven days old, and author rewards are paid out, CR distributes its share of the author rewards to your readers you indicated with a vote in the discussion thread.
The rewards are sent to your reader's Wallet as TIPS. Below is a screenshot of my wallet showing my rewards for commenting on another Hive member's post within the eligible time frame:
According to @commentrewarder's post explaining the program, other terms are required to be adhered to in order to receive comment rewards. Please read the post thoroughly so that you as an author and commenter can comply: Introducing CommentRewarder - A new service to reward comments.
As I stated earlier, the unique ICON that resembles a blank comment box will be displayed on all my posts that I have set CommentRewarder as a beneficiary. I would love for you to comment and engage on all my posts. However, it's up to you to choose what content you want to engage with that interests you.
One important item to note. For all to be fair, @commentrewarder states that you can't reply to yourself and then upvote your reply. Any rewards given to self-replies will be burned.

I can see this icon and not sure if its visible on other front ends as well. commentrewarder is getting more attention and its good as its driving more engagement..

Currently, I don't think the service is available on any other front end. Hopefully, it will be added soon.

Hello @behiver. Yes, it all takes place within the 3 day window that you have to engage with the readers and upvote their comments. CommentRewarder takes care of the rest.
Normal engagement after the 3 days is good. The readers just need to understand they won't be able to earn an extra reward for being late to the engagement party 🙃

Wow this is a great initiative that will encourage content creators to do more.

Am still struggling to build myself in that, where there tips that helped you that you can share?
Is obvious that engagement is the key.
When I started on the blockchain, it was a struggle for me both in engagement and rewards for my content. I remember receiving less than 25cents for the majority of my posts, and no visitors.
That changed when I ventured out into various Communities and started engaging genuinely with others. I love contests, so I entered numerous ones as time permitted. My favorite Communities are writing and art, as I usually hang out in Freewriters, Alien Art Hive, and FreeCompliments leaving my Talent Tuesday posts.
Of course, publishing quality content was key whenever others visited my Profile and saw my fiction writing and art projects. I'm not going to tell you that I saw instant results. Five years it has taken me accomplish this small bit of success. My HP is not huge, but I manage to support and encourage others.
As you say on your Profile that "patience and consistency is the key to success", it's definitely true. But consistency is one of the single most activity you can do. When others see that and the quality of your work, they will visit, support, and perhaps Follow your journey.

Wow wow, sometimes it can be tiring for sure, but I noticed something in all you just said, determination is one thing that helped you scale through, yes rewards are important because they help to sustain a content creator but I think what gives lasting sustainance is engagement, and like you said quality should speaks for me always.
