I have experienced this so many times that I am discouraged to go get whatever pain I feel checked.
When I was 28, I complained about chest pains. The doctor downplayed my symptom stating that I'm "too young" without digging into my sedentary lifestyle. I was told to jist redt and go home.
Months after that my blood work showed high cholesterol levels. I took statins at 29. I hate check ups.
I am so sorry you experienced this. I also got the "you're too young" to be that sick (I got sick in childhood) until I turned 30, then it was "just a part of aging".
So infuriating.
Nailed it on "just a part of aging"!
If we could have done things during the early symptoms, it could've made a difference.
