Hazrat Jarir (RA) accepted Islam late, but he was among the noble companions. Before accepting Islam, when he came to Medina, the Prophet (PBUH) had announced his arrival before his arrival. This shows the greatness and majesty of Hazrat Jarir (RA). So, when he reached the crown prince of Medina, the Prophet (PBUH) spread for him the cloak that he had adorned himself with. Hazrat Jarir (RA) picked up the cloak and put it on his chest and said, “O Messenger of Allah!” May Allah Almighty grant you the same honor and respect as you have honored me. So, he insisted on sitting on the chador and said, "I bear witness that you are not a superior or corrupt person." In the same gathering, Hazrat Jarir (RA) embraced Islam. According to other narrations, when the companions asked about his extraordinary honor, he (RA) said, "When the chief of a tribe comes to you, how should you honor him?"

This shows that when a great person comes, he should be honored. The majority of those who embrace Islam are based on morality. When the chiefs of the whole world are spreading their chador for a non-Muslim, what do you and I mean? Everyone should be honored, no matter who they are. Show the world the teachings of your Prophet! And tell them! That your Islam gives honor and wants honor.
