This is me waking up at 7:30 a.m. today (which is actually supposed to be like 7:30 p.m. since I'm on a night schedule):
(Side note: this is one of my favorite gifs)
My sleep schedule simply didn't adjust well. I went to sleep at about 4 p.m. (which is supposed to be 4 a.m.), slept a few hours, woke up, stayed on my phone for a while as I sort of went in and out of consciousness, finally fell back asleep for a few hours, and there I am waking up at 7:30 a.m. (well, p.m., I guess) wondering what the heck happened. If you're confused, I get it. So am I.
Anyway, that's one lost day. It happens during these adjustment periods.
Exercise yesterday was good - I feel like I was hit by a truck in a good way. No muscle pain, just muscle tiredness today. My workout wasn't extensive and didn't last too long, but it was bodyweight-based and high quality.
Meditation wasn't too hot. I did it right after my exercise (mistake #1), so although I was trying to be cognizant of my body's sensations.. there were a lot of sensations. That flooded my mind a bit. Mistake #2, which was unintentional, was that a conversation about my grandmother began in the background, and I had a very hard time trying to focus away from that. The "nothing" that I try to picture was present for maybe 1-2 seconds in total over the course of a few minutes.
So I'll just try again today. This time, no exercise immediately preceding the meditation, and hopefully no background conversations about important topics.
