”When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your life, for your strength. Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason to give thanks, the fault lies in yourself.” - Tecumseh
Welcome to Graturday Week Fifteen!🎉
I started early today, so with any luck, i should have this post up before sundown 🍀🍀🍀😉. In case I've got any newcomers this week, here's the gist of what Graturday is about. Every Saturday, I invite anyone who happens to stumble upon this post to share something they feel grateful for. Aside from getting the chance to express your gratitude, you could win one of the prizes.
What prizes?
🎁 1st Gratitude Comment gets 100 Ecency points
🎁 2nd Gratitude Comment gets 90 Ecency points
🎁 3rd Gratitude Comment gets 80 Ecency points
🎁 4th Gratitude Comment gets 70 Ecency points
🎁 5th Gratitude Comment gets 60 Ecency points
But why gratitude?
Because gratitude is great for you. Being grateful can yield all sorts of benefits including:
- More restful sleep
- Better focus
- More patience
- Improved self esteem
- More positive moods
- Stronger relationships
(And many more)
And that's just from a scientific perspective. If you look at it in terms of the energy you put into the world and what you'd like to have returned to you, gratitude can encourage more good things to come your way. You don't have to believe it just because I (or anybody else) said so. Try it yourself with Graturday 😉. Here's how:
The Rules
- Leave a comment on this post about something you feel grateful for.
- Comments can be any length once they clearly convey what you feel grateful for.
- You can't pick everything or everyone so narrow it down to something or someone specific.
- You can't give the same comment more than once in a month if you want your entry to be eligible for prizes (but if you want to mention something multiple times per month alongside new things you feel grateful for that's fine too).
- You don't have to upvote or repost to enter but if you do, just know that you have my gratitude for that.
- You have until next week's Graturday post goes up to enter for this week ⏳.
What am I grateful for this week?
Yesterday was a pretty special day. On January 3rd, 2009, the Bitcoin Genesis Block was mined, which means that yesterday was Bitcoin's birthday 🥳🎂! That was the start of a chain of events that led to a whole bunch of other things including this post I'm writing right now. I literally can't imagine a world without cryptocurrency now and it all began 16 years ago with that first block. I'm grateful for that.
Cool, now it's your turn! Please join in and let me know in the comments what you felt grateful for this past week.
Have a Great Graturday!
🎶🥳🎂🪙🥳🥳🎂🪙🥳🥳🎂🪙🥳🎶
P.S. Now I'm wondering if Bitcoin had a quinceañera last year 😄
Christmas holiday was good, but so much time off started to be a bit boring, good to be working again, grateful for having a steady job!
Yeah, once the boredom sets in, getting back to work is a relief 😂. Congrats, you’re first this week so you’ve won 100 Ecency Points!🥳!
I am grateful that I can celebrate my birthday tomorrow with the family🙏
Oh, you and your wife have birthdays that are close together, cool! Congratulations on coming third, you’ve just won 80 Ecency Points (and Happy Birthday) 🥳!
That is correct. She is from the 27th Dec and I am from January 6th. Literally, my wife is 10 days older than me. You have a nice memory 😁. And thank you for the wishes and the points🤝😇.
You're most welcome 😊!
I am grateful that I was able to achieve my goal in Wombat Dungeon
I have no idea what Wombat Dungeon is but I’m glad for you 😊 and congratulations, you just won 90 Ecency points for being second this week 🥳!
