Context

The focus of this Town Hall is to open up the conversation about the topics at hand, and to push the growth of the community side of the blockchain, while striving to reach to agreements and create synergies. We want to keep the community updated on everything happening on-chain, connect with founders and stakeholders at a deeper level, and ultimately generate a sense of belonging and a feeling of true community.

And mainly, grow and strengthen Hive's user base.

The Town Halls are open to every Hiver. You can participate either by requesting to speak in the X space and ask questions or contribute to the conversation, or by engaging in the Threadcast.

Why X?

The reason we do these Town Halls on X spaces is because we are also striving to reach other crypto users, and the best way to do it is through X.

The X algorithm promotes spaces with reminders and comments under the post, so...

When do we get the recording?
Not all of us are willing to trade our data to X to watch live.
Nor to give it up later.
Please put out a 3spk video.

i second that motion!

See what we can do :)

Is there any discussion about hosting the Town Hall meetings on https://openhive.chat/ or something similar?

Personally I love this initiative but would never use 'X' no matter how good the reasons are.

We'll try to host them as well on hivecast.

But sadly, we need web2 to grow the shrinking hive ecosystem. No matter how good the reasons are to step away from web2, helping the hive ecosystem grow trumps all of them (for us).

But I understand you may have your reasons and I respect them.

Thanks for understanding.

Yeah, it is quite the conundrum when faced with having to use Web2 to host a Web3 Town Hall... or using Web2 for anything Web3 related for that matter... but I do understand the rationale behind it.

@leo.tasks after reading some of what has come out of the last "Town Hall" I can no longer in good conscience be supportive of them as long as they are occurring off chain.

That's ok, that's why we upload them to 3 speak and upload the transcript, to keep everything on chain.

Next one we'll try to also use a web 3 livestream service.

Glad to hear that the last meeting was put on chain.

Thank you for reminding me!

What about streaming on Cast.Garden by @kencode?

This could be the way, I'll see how it works and prepare for it if it fits.

See you in a few days!

You're doing great!

That's a great set of minds to bring together. I'm sure they will have lots to say. We need cooperation between projects to build Hive up.

See you in a few days!
