2024-07-10 - Distriator - Working on rewarding payments done using v4v.app with KeepSats

Project Distriator

Adding a business on demand

• @starkerz requested to add a business urgently.
• Based on request from him, I added a business with dummy data as I didn't have full details except important ones.

Making test payments with v4v.app

• As a first step to make test payments, I generated an invoice with v4v.app.
• I scanned the QR code from my phone.
• Made the payment & it went successful

• However, to my surprise, instead of receiving payment in SATs, I received it in HBD
• It left me confused on why such thing happened.
• So, I checked the history from v4v app.

• History page, gave me clear indication that payment was done in HBD.
• Upon discussing, I found that while generating invoice, we have to set configuration.
• @starkerz & @brianoflondon corrected me on this.
• Here is how one should set the payment options.

Making payment in KeepSats with v4v.app

• After realising the mistake I did, I generated invoice again
• This time, I made sure that, I select correct accepted payment method.
• Red colored Bitcoin KeepSats button also helped me understand that the payment method I selected was correct.

• After generating QR code from v4vapp, I again made a test transaction.
• Test trasnfer was successful which you can see in the screenshot above.
• With these 2 test transfers, I had enough data on hive-blockchain.
• So, I started working on adding support for KeepSats payment rewards

What's next?

• Complete the implementation of rewards for keepsats payment done using v4v.app
• Now that, we have business management APIs, we'll focus on UX.
• We'll support adding & editing businesses from Distriator App.
• While integrating APIs, if we find something missing in API, we'll update APIs.
• After that, we'll switch our focus to BTC-SATS rewards

Project 3Speak - Creator Studio

• As soon as I woke up, I saw the message from @eddiespino.
• He reported that 3speak's creator studio was down.
• After sshing up to system & I attempted restarting studio but it didn't help.
• I kept on looking at logs from journalctl but didn't help.
• So, I tried rotating Hive-RPC nodes. It did the trick.
• After that, 3speak creator studio was back to life.

• I support several contests hosted by different communities.
• I reward them with Hive-Power-up for the contribution that they have made on communities on Hive.
• We keep transferring portion of hive power to different users on Hive for encouraging them for their contribution on Hive.
• Those who respond to our replies, we also reward them with different tokens like PIZZA, BEER
• No rewards were given out today.

Updates: Video Encoder Nodes

• I'm running 12 powerful video encoder nodes for 3Speak Community Members.
• Monthly internet bandwidth usage which exceeds 15 TB, Maintenance cost, Electricity backup, Internet backup, Depreciation cost - it's all on me.
• On 2024-07-10, 3Speak published total 102 videos.
• My video encoder nodes encoded 32 videos from 102 videos published.
• It means, my encoder nodes encoded 31.37 % of total videos published on 2024-07-10
