Como desarrollador me gustaría aportar algunos cambios a la interfaz o front-end de hive.blog o peakd.com.
As a developer I would like to bring some changes to the front-end of hive.blog or peakd.com.
El día de ayer encontré el repositorio que tiene el código de hive.blog y decidí clonarlo para intentar correrlo en local y probar los cambios que tengo en mente con la idea de ver si es posible enviar mi propuesta.
Yesterday I found the repository that has the hive.blog code and I decided to clone it to try to run it locally and test the changes I have in mind with the idea of seeing if it is possible to submit my proposal.
Luego de clonar el repositorio seguí al pie de la letra los pasos para construir el proyecto sin usar Docker (mi laptop es una MacBook del 2009 y no lo he podido instalar).
After cloning the repository I followed the steps to build the project without using Docker (my laptop is a 2009 MacBook and I have not been able to install it).
Siguiendo los pasos | Following the steps
Luego de crear la carpeta temporal (tmp), comencé con los pasos, pero al momento de ejecutar el comando yarn run build todo comenzó a salir mal:

Aunque vi un sin número de errores igual, intente correr el proyecto en el modo de producción con el comando yarn run production
Although I saw a number of errors I still tried to run the project in production mode with the command yarn run production.

Reflexionando un poco | Reflecting a little
Si la idea es expandirnos como comunidad creo que es de vital importancia facilitar la forma en la que nuevos desarrolladores pueden incorporarse y proponer mejoras a la plataforma, en mi caso quería empezar con algo que creo es básico y elemental si queremos una adopción masiva por parte de usuarios finales en Hive.
If the idea is to expand as a community I think it is of vital importance to facilitate the way in which new developers can join and propose improvements to the platform, in my case I wanted to start with something that I think is basic and elementary if we want a massive adoption by end users in Hive.
Mi primer propuesta | My first proposal
Lo primero que un usuario intenta hacer es crear una publicación y justo en ese momento se encuentra con un editor de texto con muy pocas opciones para formatear sus publicaciones, razón por la cual tienen que intentar usar HTML y clases de CSS para poder darle el estilo que desean. Y hablo de tareas simples como: Justificar, centrar texto, o escribir en columnas.
The first thing a user tries to do is to create a post and right at that moment they find a text editor with very few options to format their posts, which is why they have to try to use HTML and CSS classes to be able to give it the style they want. And I'm talking about simple tasks like: justify, center text, or write in columns.
Esto lo único que hace es incrementar la curva de aprendizaje en algo tan básico como escribir (algo con lo que no tienen que lidiar en las redes sociales centralizadas más populares).
All this does is increase the learning curve on something as basic as typing (something they don't have to deal with in the more popular centralized social networks).
Existen muchas librerías de código abierto que pueden ser utilizadas (creo que cualquiera en la actualidad va a mejorar lo que tenemos hoy en hive.blog y peakd.com)
There are many open source libraries that can be used (I think anyone today is going to improve on what we have today in hive.blog and peakd.com).

Seguramente el que ahora mismo es usado puede tener algún plugin disponible para extender su funcionalidad, sería interesante ver eso.
Espero que alguien pueda tomar la iniciativa de aportar esos cambios o facilitar el proceso para unirse como desarrollador de esta gran comunidad.
The voice typing option would be awesome to hive. Have you reached out to hive server and proposes your idea? I would suggest that you reach out to other devs and maybe they would notice and agree with your proposal.

I made my comment, but apparently it went unnoticed.
Although I can't contact someone and I can't test the project, I am studying the code, since it is a programming language that I master (React.js).
