This feature is already implemented on ARCHON frontpage. You can try and contact @taskmanager (I do not think he gets the notification on being tagged by me).

The only issue is the box cannot be scrolled down if at the end of page but I noticed hive.blog leaves some extra space below the last comment which would fix that.
