An open source sort of protocol for ads or promoted posts would be an interesting idea for the project to tackle. Not sure how many other interfaces would be interested as some of them either go with their own systems already or don't like ads on their interfaces. We did create a system that could be adapted perhaps and a second attempt at seeing if there is interest by the interfaces who would need to decide to impliment the software.
