Programatically Hive Engine voting

in HiveDevs13 days ago

Hi Friends!

Before you start rambling on about how bad auto-voting is, I want to say that there are several factors taken into account before a vote is cast automatically.
And my version works somewhat like https://hive.vote/

Now, I'm unsure of how the Hive Engine side of voting works.
Do I need to apply the token(s) I'm voting with?

I've run a test not too long ago, you can see a custom json here:

  • Is this good for voting or do I have to add/remove something?
  • If I remove "token":"CENT" will it then still do a vote with any or all Hive Engine tokens that can be used for voting?

I hope some (or at least one) of you great people will come to my "rescue" 😎

I wish I had the slightest idea of how all these things work, would have lent my voice. 😂. I think @sagarkothari88 should be of help here.

Let's hope.
I'm probably way off though, I just read somewhere that in order to have the LEO work when voting programatically, it needs to be done via Hive Engine... not quite sure if that's true though.
