Hello to all!
Wintertime is outdoor time, especially in the cold season it is rewarding to undertake activities, get some fresh air and enjoy the few rays of sunshine that are available. That's why I regularly pack my touring skis and head to the nearby mountains to have some fun in the beautiful natural surroundings. On this tour, my route takes me to the summit of the Wörschacher Reidling* together with my girlfriend.
We were able to strap on our skis right at the parking lot in fantastic conditions and head up through the freshly snow-covered forest. It was an incredibly beautiful day with not a single cloud in the sky. After a good 900 meters in altitude, we reached the summit of the so-called Wörschacher Reidling, which is located in the Phyrn-Priel region. At the top, we had a picturesque view of the surrounding mountain peaks such as the famous Hohen Dachstein or the rugged Grimming.
Some of the fog in the valley was very persistent on this day. The temperatures on the mountain were quite pleasant, while the cold air gathered in the valleys and created a spectacular sea of fog. All in all, it was a fantastic outdoor day that we thoroughly enjoyed. The mountains are an absolute mood lifter in the often very dreary winter time.
Best regards, Lukas.
