I have been so busy lately, what with moving and starting my new job. As well as getting our outdoor space, set up just how me and girls like it. But it has been a good kind of busy, as I have felt my energy levels rising, just as Spring is in full swing. And plus, who won't enjoy the above view, which is what I get to look at daily.
Today after I finished work and got some supplies in. I decided to go for a walk with my youngest and our two canine companions, so that we could really explore the area we now live in. There is a dry riverbed, close to us, so we decided to climb down into it and follow it. What I love about living here, is that it doesn't take long before you reach some pretty wild places.
There were loads of signs of spring as we walk along. One only favourites being Borage. Borage represents strength and courage it's a wonderful plant to be around. You can also eat the flowers, which are a wonderful addition to any salad.
It got wild pretty quickly, the further we walked down the riverbed. At times we had to climb up the bank as it became very over grown. But I enjoy a good climb, as does my youngest, who was ahead of me most of the time.
Every now and again, she would call out to me, "Mum, come look at this amazing stone". And I must say, they were many amazing looking stones/rocks to see. Si as you can imagine, we stopped a lot to take them all in. Like this one up above that she asked me to take a picture of.
That's my youngest with Rusty, in the photo above. Both of them in their element and of course, I was as well. I mean, what's not to love, fresh air, great companion and amazing views. We met no other people, which is just how I like it. I'm a bit greedy when it comes to being in the wild and I'm not afraid to say it.
There is still that beautiful orange clay to be seen, which is great for using in natural building as well. You never know when you might need to use it, so I'm happy I have discovered some.
Freya, was pretty good at finding the easier routes, seeing as she is getting older now. She is still up for adventure, but she knows her limits. A lesson I think a few of us, could do with being reminded of.
This was one of my favourite rocks from our walk, I live the wavy pattern on it, it reminded me of the sea. Which then inspired me to talk, about how all rivers flow towards the sea, with my daughter. Which she taught was pretty cool.
These beautiful pink flowers, could be seen along some of the river bank and give such a lovely contrast, against the grey of the rocks. The colour
really helps them to just pop out, of the landscape.
We really felt ourselves getting closer and closer to the mountains, that look over us. But after an hour of walking, I decided it was best to turn around. I had dinner to see to, plus my youngest was starting to get tired. Next time, I will pack a picnic, so we can make a day of it. There is still lots of exploring to be done.
I can feel the energy vibing from this post. I am experiencing something similar in the last week or so. Amazing Spring weather definitely plays a part in that but I sense there's more to it... ;^)
xxxx

Great! I am experiencing the same. Really high energy, no matter the circumstances. A weight seems to have lifted.

I think it's a testament to your parenting and your lifestyle in general when both yourself, the girls, and even your dogs are so willing to adjust to new places, and to new adventures. I'm glad spring has brought with it such a fantastic mood. You can feel the good in-between the lines here :)
Just wanted to say hi. Obviously, I've missed a lot, but congratulations on the move, and on the job. It seems they've both brought positive tidings :)
Hey, how are you? Where are you? I've been out of touch. Did you make it to Spain, I feel like I have missed out on a lot with you too.
Thanks for your lovely message xxxx
I did, then fell into a hermit phase, apparently. I had a blast, something in Andalucia resonated deeply, and plan on returning soon. Possibly for longer.
I know you moved, but missed most of the action. Are you still in Spain?
