RE: Readying myself for the road ahead

Get used to fixing punctures or at least changing tubes. It's bound to happen some time. You may find you need to modify the bike to make it ready for the trip. Get fitter and then do some test rides. Maybe go camping for a weekend. Have fun.

My plan is to walk to get rid of the excess fat i have stored, in the beginning. I've been hitting the gym in the mornings and eating much more healthily. I'm half tempted to go for the walking route instead, more access to various paths and a lot safer. I'll see how the training goes.

Hope to see you walking the parkrun soon.

Definitely.
