So... Six years ago, I had an aneurysm at the base of my brain. I was told I might be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. Fortunately, that was not the case. However, I was told I could never snowboard again for fear of damaging my stint and having another brain bleed. About six months ago, I had an MRI, and I was told everything was looking miraculously well. I was also told I could snowboard again, as long as I wore a helmet and took it easy. That was HUGE news to me!
Well... yesterday, I finally got out and snowboarded for the first time since the aneurysm. WooHoo!!!! So much fun!!! I felt alive on an indescribable level. And I hope to get back out again soon.
The person I got out snowboarding with??? Hive and @peakd superstar - @jarvie! (Jarvie skied) Thanks for the call @jarvie and getting me out there to Palisades Tahoe. Safe travels on your journey back home.

Thanks again, @jarvie! I might be buying a used board from a friend soon... And hopefully a pass next year.
YAY the two Scotts on the slopes. Wow I was amazed that it's been 6 years since your aneurysm and so happy that you can get out and snowboard again!
Right?! Time flies... So happy I'm "allowed" to hit the slopes again.
Congratz on getting back out there 👍 What a journey. I'm sure you had some serious gratitude after your first day back on the slopes.
