Another Friday to remember the 90's, I have thought about remembering events or happenings of those years, but I would have to do some research to see the options I have for now, I will focus on songs and series.
A few days ago, while listening to the playlist I have on my PC, I heard a song and decided to investigate if it indeed belongs to the 90's and yes, so here goes my first choice for this week.
Don't Speak
This song was a hit since it was promoted and became a classic belongs to the third album of the band No Doubt, this hit is included in the album Tragic Kingdom which came out in the year 1995, this song was written by the singer of the band Gwen Stefani after ending the love relationship with her bandmate Tony Kanal, although it is a song as I mentioned quite remembered and that more than one sang at the top of his lungs, including me, did not get to be part of the Billboard 100, but there is no doubt that for those who listen to it and appreciate it is an excellent song.
Where Do You Go
Dance music was present in the 90s in various versions and styles, the band No Mercy formed by three young people met and re-released versions of songs by another band of German origin named La Bouche, making more danceable versions in the style of pop and electronic music, of their versions two songs are very remembered among them this one, which was released or rather re-released in 1996, in the album of the same name, the success of these versions was characterized by the use of the acoustic guitar in them, if we see the videos we will notice that in them is very present the style of the 90s.

As I have already mentioned to you in a previous post in Latin America good music was made in the 90s, especially rock and some other alternative genres, the Mexican alternative rock band Café Tacvba recorded this hit that was aired in 1994, it sounded a lot on FM stations and listening to it makes me remember my grandmother because as a good lady she had her criticisms and laughs about this and other hits of the band.
The lyrics of this song were criticized, because in it there is incitement to feminicide and supports machismo. Of course that for those who take it at face value, I always took the songs of this band more as jokes or black humor.
Freedom! '90
In the year 90 the singer George Michael released a song accompanied by a video that was a success, because he was not present in it, but the five supermodels of the moment: Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington and Tatjana Patitz. This song never stopped playing at this singer's concerts.

Otro viernes para recordar a los 90, he pensado en recordar eventos o sucesos de esos años, pero tendría que realizar una investigación para ver las opciones que tengo por ahora, me centraré en canciones y series.
Hace unos días, mientras escuchaba la lista de reproducción que tengo en mi PC, escuché una canción y decidí investigar si efectivamente pertenece a los 90 y sí, así que así va mi primera elección para esta semana.

Esta canción fue un éxito desde que se le promocionó y se convirtió en un clásico pertenece al tercer álbum de la banda No Doubt, este éxito está incluido en el álbum Tragic Kingdom el cual salió en el año 1995, esta canción fue escrita por la cantante de la banda Gwen Stefani luego de terminar la relación amorosa con su compañero de banda Tony Kanal, aunque es una canción como mencione bastante recordaba y que más de uno canto a todo pulmón, entre ellos yo, no llego a formar parte de las 100 de Billboard, pero no hay duda de que para aquellos que la escuchamos y apreciamos que es una excelente canción.

La música bailable estuvo presente en los 90 en diversas versiones y estilos, la banda No Mercy conformada por tres jóvenes se reunieron y relanzaron versiones de canciones de otra banda de origen alemán de nombre La Bouche, realizando versiones más bailables al estilo pop y música electrónica, de sus versiones dos canciones son muy recordadas entre ellas esta, la cual fue lanzada o mejor dicho relanzada en 1996, en el álbum del mismo nombre, el éxito de estas versiones se caracterizó por el uso de la guitarra acústica en ellas, si vemos los videos notaremos que en ellos está muy presente el estilo de los años 90.

Como ya les he mencionado en una anterior publicación en América Latina se hizo buena música en los 90, sobre todo rock y algunos otros géneros alternativos, la banda mexicana de rock alternativo Café Tacvba grabo este éxito que salió al aire en 1994, sonó mucho en las emisoras FM y escucharlo me hace recordar a mi abuela porque como buena señora tenía sus críticas y risas sobre este y otros éxitos de la banda.
La letra de esta canción fue criticada, porque en ella hay incitación al feminicidio y apoya el machismo. Claro eso para los que se lo toman al pie de la letra, yo siempre me tome las canciones de esta banda más como bromas o humor negro.

En el año 90 el cantante George Michael lanzó una canción acompañado de un video que fue todo un éxito, pues él no estaba presente en el mismo, pero sí las cinco supermodelos del momento: Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington y Tatjana Patitz. Esta canción nunca dejó de sonar en los conciertos de este cantante.

Bien encogido... No Doubt fue unos de mis favoritos de los noventa de los EEUU. Cafe Tapuga no me suena, capaz no los tocaron mucho en el Caribe. George Michael tuvo tanto talento, fue triste que se murio tan joven.
