In the 90s a lot of series aired that are still valued and that we appreciate to see again, I remember a few and from there some actors or actresses went to the movies, checking on the web to see if it was within the range I found three series of which I am sure that two are available and we can see them in streaming subscription channels being sure that we will see a really good material so here I go with my selection:
The Law and Order (1990)
This police and legal drama series had a great success to the point that it extended 24 seasons, began to be transmitted in 1990, basically tells how a group of police officers in conjunction with prosecutors investigate different cases to find the alleged culprits and to bring them to trial for their crimes.
The series takes place in the city of New York and one of the things that I think allowed its success is that each episode deals with a different case, they can relate one chapter to another, but we will always be facing new cases, some will fill us with rage against those who committed the crime, others will make us feel empathy with the victims and obviously we will get to know the protagonists of the series.
Logically, having had such a long trajectory the actors were changing over the years, but it really is a very good series that shows us how hard life can be in big cities and just as for some the day could be great for others for various circumstances became a nightmare.
South Park (1997)
This is an animated series, but make no mistake. It was never for children, although its protagonists are, this series was always aimed at adults. It premiered in August 1997 and ran for 26 seasons.
Basically, it tells stories of four boys who live in a supposed town in Colorado where, as far as I remember, it was always winter, whose names are: Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny, these surreal stories sought through satire, cynicism, irony and black humor, but very black, to criticize U.S. society and culture, in these chapters could not miss the recurring death of one of his characters Kenny who always came back to life without further explanation, these irreverent young people were very rude and in each episode one could laugh with the crazy things they discovered or sought, but that did not fail to show the reality that many times families, towns and people are not perfect.
In my country they aired it within another show that was on very late at night and many of my classmates and I were unveiled to discuss the next day the episode and repeat Stan's lines, “Oh my God, they killed Kenny,” with Kyle replying, “Sons of bitches!”.
The Prince of Rap (1990)
This series was and was one of the best, it launched Will Smith to stardom, it began airing in 1990 and lasted 6 seasons, it is a comedy that made us all laugh, but within its plot in which as I mentioned there was no lack of laughter, there was also no lack of messages to think again and lead us to reflection.
Among the characters that I loved the most in this series are Philip Banks, Ashley Banks, Carlton Banks and Geoffrey Butler, the latter the snooty butler of the family, basically we see how Will must adapt to his new life in a neighborhood of wealthy people in which he must learn to behave differently as well as in his new school and family dynamics, as well as his new family learn or rather remember their humble origins this in terms of his uncles and cousins learn things from Will and vice versa. In this series we always saw first class guests.
In summary, these are three of the series that were born in the 90's, which I enjoyed a lot, so ends another #ninetiesfriday publication. Did you get to see any of these three series?

En los 90 salieron al aire muchas series que todavía son valoradas y que apreciamos volver a ver, yo recuerdo unas cuantas y de allí salieron algunos actores o actrices rumbo al cine, revisando en la web a ver si estaba dentro del rango encontré tres series de las cuales estoy segura que dos están disponibles y podemos verlas en canales de suscripción streaming estando seguros de que veremos un material realmente bueno así que aquí les voy con mi selección:
La Ley y el Orden (1990)
Esta serie de drama policial y legal tuvo un gran éxito al punto que se extendió 24 temporadas, comenzó a ser trasmitida en el año 1990, básicamente narra como un grupo de agentes de la policía en conjunto con fiscales investigan diferentes casos para dar con los presuntos culpables y poder llevarlos a juicio por sus crímenes.
La serie se desarrolla en la ciudad de New York y una de las cosas que creo permitió su éxito es que cada episodio trata un caso diferente, pueden relacionarse un capítulo con otro, pero siempre estaremos ante casos nuevos algunos nos llenaran de rabia en contra de quienes cometieron el crimen otros nos harán sentir empatía con las víctimas y obviamente se va conociendo a los protagonistas de la serie.
Lógicamente, al haber tenido una trayectoria tan larga los actores fueron cambiando a lo largo de los años, pero de verdad es una serie muy buena que nos muestra lo dura que puede ser la vida en las grandes ciudades y así como para algunos el día pudo ser genial para otros por diversas circunstancias se convirtió en una pesadilla.

Esta es una serie animada, pero no se confundan. Jamás fue para niños, aunque sus protagonistas lo sean, esta serie siempre fue dirigida a adultos. Se estrenó en agosto de 1997 y se extendió durante 26 temporadas.
Básicamente, narra historias de cuatro chicos que viven en un supuesto pueblo de Colorado en el que, por lo que recuerdo, siempre era invierno, cuyos nombres son: Stan, Kyle, Cartman y Kenny, estas historias surrealistas buscaron mediante la sátira, el cinismo, la ironía y el humor negro, pero bien negro, criticar a la sociedad y cultura de EE. UU., en estos capítulos no podía faltar la muerte recurrente de uno de sus personajes Kenny quien siempre volvía a la vida sin mayor explicación, estos irreverentes jóvenes eran muy groseros y en cada episodio uno podía reír con las cosas locas que descubrían o buscaban, pero que no dejaban de mostrar la realidad de que muchas veces las familias, pueblos y personas no son perfectas.
En mi país lo transmitían dentro de otro programa que daban muy tarde en la noche y muchos de mis compañeros de clase y yo nos develamos para discutir al día siguiente el capítulo y repetir las líneas de Stan, "¡Oh Dios Mío, Mataron a Kenny", con Kyle respondiendo, "¡Hijos de Puta!".
El príncipe del Rap (1990)
Esta serie fue y era de las mejores, lanzo al estrellato a Will Smith, comenzó a trasmitirse en el año 1990 y duro 6 temporadas, es una comedia que nos hizo reír a todos, pero que dentro de su trama en la que como ya mencione no faltaban las risas, tampoco faltaban los mensajes para recapacitar y llevarnos a la reflexión.
Entre los personajes que mas me encantaron de esta serie están Philip Banks, Ashley Banks, Carlton Banks y Geoffrey Butler¸ este último el estirado mayordomo de la familia, básicamente vemos como Will debe adaptarse a su nueva vida en un vecindario de gente adinerada en el que debe aprender a comportarse de otra manera así como en su nueva escuela y dinámica de familia, así como a su vez su nueva familia aprenden o mejor dicho recuerdan sus humildes orígenes esto en cuanto a sus tíos y sus primos aprenden cosas de Will y viceversa. En esta serie siempre vimos invitados de primera.
En resumen, estas son tres de las series que nacieron en los 90, las cuales disfruté mucho, así termina otra publicación de #ninetiesfriday. ¿Ustedes llegaron a ver alguna de estas tres series?
