2024 His Majesty King Felipe VI silver coin
Forgive me for not constantly writing out the full description of this coin's name because it's such a mouth full and so much room for error, lol. After sharing the 2023 40 euros silver coin from the Spanish Royal Mint a few days ago, which you can read here, I want to share the second one that was delivered to me from that package.
When I noticed this coin was added with the option to buy it from June, it wasn't available the first times I checked it. I thought it ran out like crazy but looking back on the huge delays at the Spanish Royal Mint, it may have been caused by these delays instead. I was happy to find this one available when I decided to pull the trigger and buy two of the 40 euros face value coins from the Spanish mint as I really love this one a bit more than the one from 2022 which is still available.

Although I'm really not much of a Royal fan, the one from Princess Leonor caught my eye some time ago while not really loving that design much, I was a bit mesmerized by this crown on the 2024 edition of King Felipe VI. Normally I'm not really drawn to the colourized versions of coins but that's also because of the usually (imo too) high premiums. This wasn't the case here.

Although the pictures online aren't always that accurate in terms of my expectations, in this case I think the coins looks much better than in the picture:
I think the coloured part is done really nicely. And I surely don't regret buying it although it's sterling silver. There was a bit of fear that I'd regret it afterwards but it's not the case at all.
As with the 2023 version, this one has a little circle where you can spot 24 if you move the coin a bit.
Conclusion
This was a purchase where I doubted quite a bit on pulling the trigger because of the sterling silver part as well as not really loving the design too much looking at the pictures. They turn out much better than I hoped and expected and I'm happy that it did. Probably next time, I will go back to hunting some coins that I'm really drawn to and again aiming for 0.999 silver :)

I'm good, just caught up in changing rooms here last week so I'm still working in a messy room until I sort out the final boxes. I'm taking my time because otherwise I regret it with back pain (happened on day 1) but for the rest: back is good, if I don't do anything crazy I don't have pain usually so this is great.

That's the second Spanish Royal Mint coin you've shown that I like. I'm not a fan of Royals either but I like the look of those coins. I don't think I've ever seen a SRM coin for sale on the sites I shop...Going to have to search them out and see what other cool stuff they have :D

I figured I'd check where they 40 euros face value series is to be found because I don't particularly like the searching on their website lol. Click It also shows the 2022 one I almost bought but then the King Felipe one came out and I liked it better, lol.

Yeah that's the one I was supposed to buy first but then voted it out for the crown lol. I was mesmerized by the colours :) But I will probably end up buying this one at some point too..

I know many are quite out of range for me too, but I love some of the artsy ones they sell. Just not something I'm willing to pay at this stage of my journey. Maybe one day though..
