At times when any people relies over others means of safet protection, especially the banking lockers for keeping their belonging and valuable safe, there was an era people used to relied on safety vault. Long ago, I think most of the rich people owns a safety vault of their own to secure their belongings and valuables. Like the one I found deserted on the railway platform.
A safety vault is a secure space used to store and protect valuable assets, sensitive information, or important documents. An iron safe is similar container used to store valuables like jewelry, documents, and guns. lying rusty and azar, it still speaks a huge volume of their era of protection.
As it was lying, it appears to be a huge cube of iron. Too heavy from all sides. They seems to be unbreakable with strong iron layers from all sides. Iron safes can be used in homes, offices, or businesses. These can be made of thick iron or steel plates and can be designed to meet specific client requirements. Generslly People order for heavy metals for extra layer of security.
This big block of metal have a key access point as well as a gand lever. While it can be opened with a big key, it also require to turn the lever to open. An additional security for avoiding any kind of theft.
Here are few more of pics as I shot them while waiting at the railway station.

From a distance it appears to be a heavy cuboid block of iron, but on closer inspection it looks to be a safety vault and appears to be jammed and dusted being so old. It must belongs to the railway department. And now it get discarded. It still have many life left.
Peace!!

Impressive what you bring today, it reminds me of the safes of sunken ships. I love it... how times have changed!
Hahaha it was not from a movies set up, but yes quite real to give a thought around its history.....People were so heavenly dependent on them for safety.
You always bring super interesting topics! I loved this one!
Witches making me go anywhere
I was eating something I never saw.... with my eyes hahahaha
Wow, that a crazy place to come upon a safe like that. I have a couple small safes at home, but they are mostly just for fire protection more than anything.
Not heavy as this one...it was unmovable I tried to such but not even moved an inch....jot sure what it was doing at the railway station may be it has some hidden tressure or document...
Maybe they pulled it out of an old office or something? They probably had to have a whole team of people move it!
Seems so...there are renovation work going. The most sad thing, is that for sure it is not going to find a place again.

Good evening my brother. How are you?
I am fine....an you ?
OMG! How old is that? Is that left in the station like that or what's the purpose?
What a great find!
Surely decades old...nothing is printed on it...but with the rusty condition it is quite old...great to own such thing in real.
A couple of decades for sure.
Hahaha, these were the features of 80s bollywood heist movies. You know before the digital locks and hacking were cool. 😎
Haven't seen a real one yet.
It was worth finding one stranded atbthebrailway platform...to heavy to make it move even an inch
Makes me wonder if anything important is still in it.
