I picked up this Roman God Mercury 1oz silver round last week, produced by Sunshine Minting Incorporated.

The Roman God Mercury was the most clever of the Gods and served as their messenger. He was the God of interpreters, translators, travel, trade, and commerce. Mercury also ruled over good fortune, fertility, thievery, and wealth.
Mercury Silver Round
This 1oz Mercury .999 fine silver round was produced by Sunshine Minting Inc., based out of Coeur D’Alene, Idaho, USA.
The obverse side of the round features the portrayal of Mercury, the Roman messenger god, adorned with his winged helmet, holding the winged double snake staff caduceus.
The reverse side of the round features an eagle with some holographic effects, on top of an interestingly textured back ground with vertical pin stripes slightly radiating upwards.
At the top of the reverse side of the round is the "SMI" logo and eagle mint mark, along the bottom curve is the text "1 TROY OUNCE 999 FINE SILVER".
A fun round of Mercury, the Roman God of wealth, commerce, and communications in motion. Sunshine Minting Inc. puts out a wide variety of silver pieces, another fine round for the stack.

That's pretty cool! I wonder if you can use the SMI verifier card on these rounds? On the older rounds, you could hold the card to it, and as you tilted it, you would see the SMI logo and the word "VALID".
I've seen those as silver circles, with mint mark text inside and needing the card to see the VALID, I think the hologramish look on this eagle is the security feature for this round :)
I like it. It's simpler and much more appealing to the eye. 🙂
It's different... Silver is on sale these days, "if" you can still find it... Knowing what's about to happen helps... Hold tight...
I've been steadily stacking up the silver, there are lots of economic bubbles that are long over due to pop :D
