Oh gosh, if the point did not come across clearly in this post… I 100% agree and support that you may and SHOULD block any communications from individuals who are abusive towards you.
That point obviously got lost in me being so pissed off at the other person.
That is 100% my bad.
You are, and always have been, a selfless contributor to the community. an intelligent and thoughtful person, a great sounding board for this kind of nonsense, and an actual friend which is harder to find around here.
In making my point to tell the other person to f-off and not blame me for their mess, I was obviously not clear enough in saying “person” you got blocked for being a pain and it is up to “person” to have an attitude adjustment to make things right for yourself. And then and only then you (bugged) MIGHT want to deal with them again.
And for anyone that might have gotten to this post and this comment… this post is 100% not meant to be a dig at buggedout. So please do not interpret it that way as it seems I failed at being clear.

I do acknowledge that my decision to take a stand against this abusive individual is the catalyst, or at least the fuel for the latest blowup. I am so sorry that he has then gone on to abuse you after you tried to help him.
I guess my question is more for the broader SGS community. Is tolerating abuse what SGS is about? Because if it is then I won't be staying on in this role much longer.
Not at all. Abuse has consequences. Especially personal abuse should not be tolerated at all.
Agreed! But unfortunately we have bled ACTIVE users mostly due to actions of our so called leaders. these things tend to have a limited time frame. The work is still appreciated! I have criticism for Bugged but he had done a great amount of work and differences aside I give him much appreciation for it! But the way some were treated for having slightly different political opinions last November was way more impactful than some dork responding with a bad word. Eh is what it is, life’s too short to give much thought. Cheers to better days for SSG and to all those who stopped being involved because of being told they had opinions that weren’t tolerated like not voting Harris 😂 How a Metals community leader can trash libertarians for not voting for lesser evil nonsense still makes no sense 2 me 🤷🏼♂️ but as I said is stat it is. They voted by leaving or just not being active. I respect the choice seeing where things are now. But we do have some great individuals still around for sure! It’s just a bummer many openly say in DM’s they feel disrespected by people who run things. Just too bad they feel disrespected. Such is life.
