Liberty in a Light Box

This is my continued journey working with my new light box. This time around I changed the background to white, brightened the lightening, and tried to ensure the subject was better centered in the box and worked with the angles.

As you can see, I am working with a 2024 American Silver Eagle. I happened to pick this one up on sale. The shot above I don't care for too much as it seems there is too much shadow on the lower part of the coin. At least that is what it looks like to me.

I really start liking the shots from these slightly side angles. I think they really staart catching the finer detail of the coin and blings well. If course, it is also catching the stray cat hair as my cat thinks it is his new home. So I am going to need to start putting it away.

The shot above is my favorite I think. With the eception of the damn hair at the left. Pretty proud of myself on this one.

This one above caught too much shadow again and I am not sure why. I placed it in the same place as the first, so you would think that only the bottom half would be shadowed.

I took the above and below through the cap at the top of the box and laid the coin flat inside the box for each. I will need to continue playing around with lighting for these type of shots for sure as the glare is still there. However I got rid of the gold/copper look.

Next time around I plan to focus more on the camera and try out more than one while still working with the subject and light box a little more.
