RE: We made money building our off grid, tiny house, log cabin.

That's an amazing transformation and to see it start from nature to a home. Where is it? Also, I'm curious to know how you initially made the walls water proof?

By the way, are you new to Hive or do you already have a main account? If you just joined, welcome! It would be great, and highly recommended to do a self introduction post so people can get to know you better. It adds a lot of creditability to your account and is much easier for you to build your network on Hive if people know who you are.

If you have any questions about Hive, don't hesitate to ask or you can follow @newbies-guide where you will find a lot of useful information about the platform.

Hope you enjoy your Hive experience!

Hi, yes I'm totally new here and I have no idea how anything works yet. I don't even know how to add a profile picture. The cabin is in the South of France. To waterproof the walls, the most important thing is not to let them get wet. So you make the roof hang over enough to keep the rain off. The chinking between the logs is a mixture of lime, cement and sand, which keeps the creatures and cold winds out. It's a lot of work maintaining a log cabin though because the logs are always expanding and contracting with the weather.

You said if I have any questions... well, I'm uploading videos to 3speak and getting messages here. Is this two separate sites and can I get notifications somehow because I only found your comment by accident? Also I have no idea how to upload a profile picture or banner on 3speak. All the explanations I've read about hive so far have just confused me even more.

Hi there, it's all the same site, with different frontends. Think of Hive as the house, and there are different doors (frontends) to access the house eg hive.blog, peakd.com, 3speak, ecency, LEO Finance. Whatever content you post from these frontends will all end up on the same Hive blockchain. You can use the same posting key to access all the frontend.

I don't personally use 3speak so don't know where you change the profile picture. However you can change it in any if the other frontends and it will flow through. I'm on peakd.com on mobile. Just click on those 3 little dots next to setting to do it.
