I went there so that they could stop feeding my Darinka breast milk, which was then 3 years and two months )))
Who liked this process? Probably to the child, and to the mother? I personally loved this process so much! Apparently I couldn't finish, because I was having fun, but all the relatives and parents around me have been saying for a long time that it's not possible for so long! So I left my Darinka with my father and older sister Victoria, who was then 9 years old, and went for 3 days and two nights to a seminar to be held near Kamianets-Podilskyi.
I got on the bus and left, not knowing exactly where we were going. All I knew was that it must be a fantastically beautiful place! We stopped in Kamianets-Podilskyi
and had the opportunity to walk there for several hours. 8 years have passed, but there are still very positive emotions and great impressions. I did not get to the famous castle then, I just walked around. Breathtaking from the height of the cliffs over which this fortress rises. In fact, it was an impregnable castle.
On the tourist site I read:
The people are convinced that Kamyanets-Podilsky Castle is "built by the hand of God", because nature itself has given it an amazing ability to remain inaccessible to enemies and attractive to friends. Steep rocky shores towering over the wide channel Smotrych, high walls with embrasures, equipped with a powerful defensive arsenal, ancient legends and amazing terrain - all this makes it incredibly beautiful and mysterious.
The history of the ancient city of Kamianets-Podilskyi, the historical center of Podillya, begins with the fortress. According to one version, the fortress in Kamianets-Podilskyi was built by Lithuanian princes in the middle of the 14th century. They chose this area for their fortification, because they believed that the fortress, surrounded by a deep moat, would guarantee complete inaccessibility and give its inhabitants a peaceful and happy life.
We got on the bus again and a few hours later arrived in the village of Vrublivci, Khmelnytsky region. We were driving on country roads and at first I couldn't even imagine how beautiful this area is, where our seminar will take place! Suddenly I saw amazing stone mountains rising on both sides of the Ternava River, a tributary of the mighty Dniester.
As far as I understand, the base "Kseniya", where we were settled, is located nearby, and perhaps in Bakota itself, which is one of the unique places in the Khmelnytsky region of Ukraine and is famous for its beauty around the world!
Flooded city, reserve, nature park, Ukrainian Atlantis, the cradle of history… Bakota - has many names.
Today the city is not on the map of Ukraine, but its beauty fascinates every guest.
Not far from Kamyanets-Podilsky is the flooded city of Bakota. It is located in the Podilsky Tovtry National Nature Park.
The history and development of Bakota was interrupted in the early eighties by the construction work of the Novodnistrovskaya HPP. Residents were relocated to other towns and villages, and Bakota was flooded.
So we spent an unforgettable vacation there, had a boat trip along the rocks. But I want to go there again to see more, to visit the fortress, the White Mountain and the rock monastery on it.
I hope I intrigued you?
By the way, this trip was really a help for me to naturally and painlessly complete breastfeeding my Darinka :)
I invite you to open your Google archives and find something interesting for #SaturdayMemories by @ olga.maslievich

And every post has their own map too!
Want to have your post on the map too?
Thank you 😊
This is a very nice memory you have shared with us.
Breastfeeding for three years, well if both of mother and child like where is the problem? ;D But yes, once it has to finish :)
So you got a nice vacation as a result of that separation from breastfeeding activity. Well done!
I liked very much your white shirt with red embroidery and that view towards the castle !!
Thank you dear @mipiano. The organizers of this seminar are big fans of the Ukrainian national costume, that's why we had this style! I was also fascinated by the beauty of this place.
that is good that there are still organizations and people that care about the traditions and culture of a nation. It can be traditional food, dressing, art, anything, but it is important not to forget them :)
