I recently had the opportunity to meet the painter Carlos Sánchez Vega thanks to the #Guarenasflow community who conducted an interview with him, since currently the National Art Gallery has several rooms occupied with his third art exhibition within the G.A.N entitled "El, los jardines emocionales" (He, the emotional gardens), an exhibition that brings together more than 100 pieces, mostly paintings and some sculptural objects. In this exhibition, the artist pays homage to two teachers who directly influenced the painter's artistic learning, those teachers are Mercedes Pardo and Edgar Sánchez.
Hace poco tuve la oportunidad de conocer al Pintor Carlos Sánchez Vega gracias a que junto a la comunidad de #Guarenasflow le realizamos una entrevista, ya que actualmente en la Galería de Arte Nacional tiene varias salas ocupadas con su tercera muestra de arte dentro de la G.A.N titulada "El, los jardines emocionales" una exposición que agrupa más de 100 piezas entre su mayoría pinturas y algunos objetos escultóricos. En esta muestra el artista hace homenaje a dos maestros que influyeron de manera muy directa en el aprendizaje artístico del pintor, esos maestros son Mercedes Pardo y Edgar Sánchez.
The exhibition is divided into two areas. In the first part, the artist pays homage to his teacher Mercedes Pardo, in which he presents a series of paintings that reflect his vision of the garden that he could see when he was just a little boy and spent his time in the workshop of his teacher Mercedes and her husband Alejandro Otero. In each of the paintings he presents, he applies the technique almost as perfectly as his teacher did, demonstrating a long history of learning and practice. My friend Carlos told me for a moment while we were interviewing him that it was an honor for him that his works, in which he applied what he learned with his teacher, were on display on this occasion alongside the original works of Mercedes Pardo.
La muestra está dividida en dos zonas, en la primera parte el artista hace homenaje a su maestra Mercedes Pardo en la que nos presenta una serie de cuadros donde refleja su visión del jardín que podía ver cuando era solo un pequeño niño y se la pasaba en el taller de su maestra Mercedes y su esposo Alejandro Otero; en cada uno de los cuadros que nos presenta, aplica la técnica casi igual de perfecta como lo hacía su maestra, dando muestra de tener una gran trayectoria de aprendizaje y práctica. El amigo Carlos me dijo por un momento mientras lo estábamos entrevistando, que para él era un honor que sus obras en las que aplicaba lo aprendido con su maestra, en esta ocasión estuvieran expuestas junto a las obras originales de Mercedes Pardo.
In the second part of the exhibition, the artist shows us a series of pieces between paintings and sculptural objects, with a conceptual representation of the "I" and the human and paying homage to another of his great teachers, Edgar Sánchez; this second part takes us on a journey into the artist's psyche, allowing us to learn about his process of human transcendence. It is truly an exhibition full of spirituality and transmits the essence of the author; I hope you like this post, good vibes.
En la segunda parte de la exposición el artista nos muestra un seriado de piezas entre cuadros y objetos escultóricos, con una representación conceptual en el "YO" y lo humano y haciendo homenaje a otro de sus grandes maestros, como lo fue Edgar Sánchez; esta segunda parte nos lleva por un recorrido internándonos en la psique del artista, permitiéndonos conocer su proceso de trascendencia humana. De verdad que es una exposición llena de mucha espiritualidad y trasmite la esencia del autor; Espero que este post sea de su agrado, buenas vibras.
