Hive Arte || The Holy Famiy

Greetings dear friends of Hive Arte, I hope you are having a merry Christmas in the company of your loved ones. Today has been a rest day so I felt like coloring a little to relax and clear my mind. Since today is Christmas day I chose to color this drawing of the Holy Family.

This design has always caught my eye, I've seen it on Pinterest many times in different forms. It is a pattern that can be made using different craft techniques. I have seen it with foami, with felt, with beads and in many other ways. But I have also seen it in paintings, in my case I wanted to color it with the line pattern technique that I like so much.

For this drawing use different line patterns and strong, bold colors. For the face of the characters I did not use lines, I only colored with light skin color. I worked the haloes with gold and yellow. For the costume of Mary and the Child I used different shades of blue and spiral lines.

I like this image very much because it expresses a lot of love and also protection. Although it is a very simple design there is a lot of meaning implicit in it. It is beautiful to see how the little baby Jesus is embraced and protected by his parents.

Coloring this drawing gave me the opportunity to think and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. I was able to relax and enjoy the process of tracing each of the lines. I really loved the end result. I hope you like this drawing too. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.
