RE: Van Gogh, Poets & Lovers exhibition

It's great that you had the opportunity to visit this exhibition.
I went to the Louvre once in my youth with my graduating class and was able to admire at Van Gogh and Monet paintings. I think that when you see them live, you realize what art is inherent in them, even if you're not a great art connoisseur. I was definitely very impressed by the paintings of these two artists.

I can't remember if I've been to the Louvre before, if I have I must have been very very little. I heard it's always packed with people nowadays, that must be not very nice experience, sounds like your visit was a very pleasant one.

After the Van Gogh exhibition, I went to the rest of the National Gallery and saw a Monet there. That was also very impressive

Yes. I also think that the Louvre is far too crowded these days and you probably can't really enjoy the exhibitions. Unless you're Ed Sheeran and just rent the whole Louvre for yourself ;)
The painting by Monet looks great too. He loved the theme of water lilies.

Did he really do that 😯
It's great what money can buy, but also great for the museum, I'm sure they need funds. Win win
