Las costumbres, tradiciones, la música, las diferentes religiones, los sitios históricos, su comida y todo aquello que represente la cultura de nuestro país la manejamos como IDENTIDAD NACIONAL.
The customs, traditions, music, different religions, historical sites, food and everything that represents the culture of our country we handle as NATIONAL IDENTITY.
El sentimiento de identidad nacional está muy ligado al sentido de pertenencia. En efecto, parece que uno se siente más identificado, con algo o con alguien, si hay la creencia, sensación o seguridad de pertenencia. Ejemplo de ello lo tenemos cuando niños comenzamos a usar el adjetivo posesivo “mi” para referirnos a “mi mamá”, “mi novio”, “mi tía” y “mi país Venezuela”. En cada uno de esos ejemplos predomina un sentido de pertenencia producto de una relación mutua de afecto y amor que nos impulsa a su defensa. En sentido contrario, se pierde la identidad, perdemos el sentido de pertenencia con algo o con alguien cuando se va perdiendo el afecto mutuo.
The feeling of national identity is closely linked to the sense of belonging. In fact, it seems that one feels more identified with something or someone if there is a belief, sensation or security of belonging. An example of this is when children begin to use the possessive adjective "mi" to refer to "my mom", "my boyfriend", "my aunt" and "my country Venezuela". In each of these examples, a sense of belonging predominates as a result of a mutual relationship of affection and love that drives us to defend it. In the opposite sense, identity is lost, we lose the sense of belonging to something or someone when mutual affection is lost.

La identidad nacional son todos aquellos elementos característicos que nos distinguen de otro país tales como: los símbolos patrios, manifestaciones culturales, nuestra moneda. La identidad nacional se va construyendo en el caso de nosotros los venezolanos, a través del sentimiento que se va adquiriendo desde que empezamos la escuelita, hasta el son de hoy, con el conocimiento profundo de cada uno de nuestros valores. Este sentimiento que de alguno u otra forma va formando parte de cada uno de nosotros, y de esta manera impulsarnos a defender nuestros valores e intereses patrios en cualquier parte del mundo en que nos encontremos.
The national identity are all those characteristic elements that distinguish us from other countries such as: patriotic symbols, cultural manifestations, our currency. The national identity is built in the case of us Venezuelans, through the feeling that is acquired since we started school, until today, with the deep knowledge of each of our values. This feeling that in one way or another forms part of each one of us, and in this way impels us to defend our values and patriotic interests in any part of the world in which we find ourselves.
Aspectos de la vida diaria que se identifiquen con tu identidad nacional | Aspects of daily life that identify with your national identity.
Entre los aspectos de la vida diaria que se identifica con nuestra identidad nacional son:
- La música: la música llanera, la gaita, el joropo, el tamunangue, etc. Unos de los principales representantes de la música llanera son: Simón Díaz, etc. Mientras que por la gaita están: Guaco, Coquimba, Maracaibo 15, entre otros.
- La comida: nos caracterizamos por las arepas, el pabellón criollo (caraota, carne y arroz), las cachapas, y las hallacas en navidad.
- Nuestros refranes: "De tal palo, tal astilla", "Después de la tempestad viene la calma", ""Sacarle el jugo", "Quien a buen árbol se arrima, buena sombra lo acobija", "No hay mal que por bien no venga", "Vas pa´l cielo, y vas llorando", entre otros.
- Nuestras expresiones: Naguará, Sube pa rriba, Baja pa bajo, Métete dentro, Sal pa `fuera, coño, vergación entre otras.
Among the aspects of daily life that are identified with our national identity are:

Venezolano es ser una persona que le gusta salir adelante y abrir horizontes superarse, personas muy sociables carismáticas, nos caracterizamos por ser persistentes no nos dejamos derrotar tan fácil sin antes dar una batalla con mucha sazón, siempre con las manos abiertas cuando nos necesitan, nos gusta trabajar, con muy buena vida nocturna. Además vivimos en uno de los países de mayor reserva mineral, con lugares muy hermosos muchos sitios donde visitar, y tenemos a las mujeres más hermosas de este continente.

La identidad nacional Venezolana engloba a toda Latinoamérica ya que en esta se habla el mismo idioma que en Venezuela que es el castellano excepto Brasil que hablan otro idioma que es el portugués, y además la religión que se establece en Latinoamérica es igual a la Venezolana ya que la mayoría de los ciudadanos manejan la religión cristiana.
The Venezuelan national identity encompasses all of Latin America since the same language is spoken in Venezuela which is Spanish, except for Brazil which speaks another language which is Portuguese, and also the religion that is established in Latin America is the same as the Venezuelan one since most of the citizens follow the Christian religion.
El pasado histórico de ciertos países de Latinoamérica es similar al de Venezuela, es decir, que Simón Bolívar los libertó de los españoles, pero lo cierto es que la mayoría de los países estaban sometidos por los españoles valga la redundancia y llegaba un prócer que libertaba a este país. Lo que quiere decir que el pasado histórico de la mayoría de los países latinoamericanos era semejante.
The historical past of certain Latin American countries is similar to that of Venezuela, that is to say that Simon Bolivar liberated them from the Spanish, but the truth is that most of the countries were subjected by the Spanish and a hero came to liberate this country. Cabe destacar que otras manifestaciones culturales manejadas en nuestro país son muy similares a las del resto de Latinoamérica debido a que durante el pasado de cada país se manejó la misma ideología con diferentes puntos de vista críticos y analíticos que han variado en pequeños aspectos y por ello no tenemos las mismas culturas en toda Latinoamérica.

Debo decir, que este tema es muy amplio y de suma importancia para cada venezolano ya que saber acerca de nuestro pasado, tener presente cada tradición y costumbre que haya en nuestra comunidad es admirable saberlo y transmitirlo a otras personas, ser venezolano es sentirse orgulloso de nacer en una tierra donde tiene todo aunque lamentablemente no se ha sabido aprovechar.
I must say that this topic is very broad and of utmost importance for every Venezuelan since knowing about our past, having present every tradition and custom that exists in our community is admirable to know and transmit it to other people, to be Venezuelan is to feel proud to be born in a land where you have everything but unfortunately has not been able to take advantage of it.
Algo muy importante son los símbolos patrios, que son lo más característico que tiene Venezuela y que puede reflejar ante el mundo un orgullo nacional, al tener una bella bandera que nos representa, un escudo que durante décadas ha explicado la historia de nuestro país en la forma más resumida, Un árbol nacional cuya especie solo se conoce en Venezuela al igual que la flora y la fauna venezolana.
Something very important are the patriotic symbols, which are the most characteristic thing that Venezuela has and that can reflect before the world a national pride, having a beautiful flag that represents us, a shield that for decades has explained the history of our country in the most summarized form, a national tree whose species is only known in Venezuela as well as the Venezuelan flora and fauna.
Desde el punto de vista crítico y analítico de este tema muchas personas se han dado cuenta que la identidad nacional cada día se desvaloriza más en nuestro país y que lamentablemente se manejan otras ideologías dejando atrás lo que verdaderamente nos identifica como seres habitantes de este país.
From the critical and analytical point of view of this subject many people have realized that the national identity is more and more devalued in our country and that unfortunately other ideologies are managed leaving behind what truly identifies us as inhabitants of this country.
