Hello and welcome to this SPinvest post
SPinvest is a tokenized investment fund/club for all users of social blockchains. Everyone is welcome! The concept of SPinvest is to get rich slowly by using time tested methods of earning, saving and compounding long term. This lets SPinvest offer an ROI of 20% per year on SPI tokens. We encourage long term investing on and off the blockchain. We hope someday everyone will HODL some SPI tokens that can be bought directly from @spinvest are through the steem-engine are dex.steemleo exchanges.

UPDATE
I would like every SPI token holder to be on the same page so im not answering the same questions over and over. With all the madness of the hard fork and moving services, people are all over the place and mixed bags of emotion. Some people are staying on STEEM, others are planning to use both and most are making the move with the community to HIVE. Spinvest is making the move over to HIVE as well but the process is not 1,2,3 simple and not everybody gets what they want. Spinvest has lost a loyal HODLer cause a DM was not sent early enough so tensions are still high and people are on edge.
Here's what's happening - STEEM POWER
- I have pulled all STEEM POWER delegations
- SPinvest will begin an 84,000 STEEP POWER DOWN on the 30th
- We receive 6400 STEEM every week for 13 weeks starting on the 6th of April
- Every power down payment is converted into either BTC are Tether
- When power down is complete, we decide how to invest funds
Some will not be happy with me saying this is the way it is and call for club voting. Im all down for club voting but it takes time and sometimes fast action is required. To make things worse, nobody is actively running the voting account for SPinvest. I already know that 90% of token holders will be ok with this power down plan but we can't please everyone and I'll be honest, I'd had to go back on my word on 2 agreements i made. 1 person was cool with it and understood, the other never gave me time to explain and was not happy, to say the least. I did things the wrong way round to save a little time and this guy is online 24/7 and seen that i had pulled delegations before i could DM him. I went back on my word with our agreement but i never planned a STEEM hard fork coming, I offered a full refund and alternative SP lease to fill the request for the remainder of the time. Both offers neither accepted are declined. I think if i had written him first are been on discord 2 minutes earlier this drama could have been avoided. So lesson learnt. Next thing i would like to make 100% clear is the 95% SPinvest buyback offer.
Here's what's happening - 95% Buy-back
SPinvest has always offered all token holders a 95% buyback for when it's time to cash out. It's something that only a handful of people have taken advantage of. We would like to continue to offer this but during this time and over the next 13-20 weeks, the value of the SPI token will be all over the place as millions of STEEM is powered down and converted into HIVE are cashed out. SPI tokens are now fully backed by HIVE and STEEM is an off-platform investment technically. As our investment (STEEM) tanks into the single cent digits so does the value of the SPI token. In other words, SPinvest needs to think of a way to make it fair for both SPinvest and token holders looking to cash some out. Because the price of STEEM is dropping, each power down will become worth less in dollar terms. If SPinvest uses it's first 2 full power-downs to buy back tokens from token holders, by the time SPinvest starts converting STEEM in BTC, a lot of the dollar value will be gone.
We had a great suggestion by @jk6276 that got 3-4 thumbs up on the discord server. His idea is simple and fair for everyone. Anyone looking to cash some SPI's out will join SPinvest on power-downs and receive 1/13th of their cash out amount every week. The first power down is planned for the 6th of April so still a while to wait but i think this is as fair as we can make it for everyone. We are all in the same boat with the 13 weeks of waiting and i never thought I'd say it but SPinvest is looking to dump it's STEEM as much as everyone else to stabilize and strengthen the SPI token price.
- Put your sell back request in the comments below are leave it with silverstackeruk on the SPinvest discord server.
- Agree and send the total amount of SPI tokens to @spinvest to begin
- Receive 1/13th of your cash out every week starting April 6th
- Get last payment on June 29th
I hope that this helps to clear a few things up for some people

Could you please clarify the options we have? a) I got but what is option b)?
a) Receive 1/13th of your cash out every week starting April 6th and get last payment on June 29th
b) ??
Some people are looking to cash out SPI tokens. If you sell some back, you will recieve your cash out over 13 weeks.
I get it, but is there another option? What happens if I not sell out?
The option is for people looking to sell some.
I'll try to clarify for you.
Options each SPI hodler needs to consider:
a - as you say, receive 1/13 each week as you say.
b - try to sell on Steem Engine or find a willing buyer for OTC trade.
c - HODL on, and stay with the SPI long term course.
This fork is currently very good for SPI, depending on how much we end up getting for our STEEM powerdown in the way of off-chain investments, we end up well in front of where we were pre-fork.
Not financial advice, but SPI is worth a lot more today than it was pre-fork. That increased value is divided by the same number of units we are well in front and have a plan to try and get as much of our STEEM converted in to off-chain investments. BTC, Gold/Silver and Stocks.
I personally am going to try and turn my liquid steem as it powers down into as many SPI tokens I can - will be looking bargains.
Not financial advice, but I hope that helps.
JK.
Didn’t SPI received airdrop from Hive?
Yes it did. This is why the fund is worth more now than pre-fork. STEEM is being Powered down, HIVE remains powered up for the long term.
Got it, thank you. Then our shares from the power down will be added and allocated back to the fund and/or dependent upon what the majority wants to invest it in, correct?
Yes - the proceeds of the STEEM power down still belong to the SPI holders. The liquid will be used for off-chain investments.
We are working on specific details for a couple of members that may want to request a buyback of their SPI. A plan will be finalised but it will probably involve buying SPI tokens back at 95% of the STEEM valuation over 13 weeks, with the valuation adjusted weekly. As the value of STEEM declines (if indeed it does what many of us expect), the SPI / STEEM rate changes.
Hopefully most (if not all) stick with the long term plan and we can get most or all of the STEEM powerdown into significant off-chain assets.
Please note: these are just me sharing my personal thoughts and understanding of what's happening, not the official SPI policy. My understanding may differ from the eventual outcome and should be taken as an opinion, not fact. Not financial advice.
Yes, understood. Thank you. Will stick with the plan.
Have a great day.
Got it, thanks.
No need to buy back at the moment.
